A law that doesn't obey the law is no law at all.

    Marbury vs. Madison

In writing the decision, John Marshall argued that acts of Congress in conflict with the Constitution are not law and therefore are non-binding to the courts, and that the judiciary's first responsibility is always to uphold the Constitution. If two laws conflict, Marshall wrote, the court bears responsibility for deciding which law applies in any given case. [1]

Now bear in mind that the supreme court is not the final word on what is and what is not constitutional. We the people are.

All governments everywhere govern by the consent of the governed. Period. Always been that way and it will always be that way until Christ returns.

I reckon this is real deep political philosophy for democrats and liberals so I'll understand if you need some time to contemplate it carefully.

Buying into Obamacare is like paying $650,000,000 for a car that was totaled out before it even reached the dealership floor. It's broken beyond repair. Scrap it.

John McAfee is talking common sense. You got something against common sense?

Were the methods used by the civil rights movement to bring an end to racially prejudiced voting laws, education laws, social interaction laws good? They all involved disobeying lawfully passed legislation with the purpose of forcing those laws to be changed or repealed.

    How's this different?
