With all the finger pointing, and negative floating, or maybe I should be saying, flying around, DC regarding the roll out of Obamacare, I wondered out loud about what exactly is WRONG with Obamacare?

Is it just the technological glitch, or is the entire program flawed from being so cumbersome that no one in office seems to have really read the text of the manuscript that makes up the new entitlement program?

Is the technological problem just the root, or tip of the iceberg so to speak, when it comes to the program?

Well....you be the judge! What say you???

We make the mistake of confusing the website with the healthcare act. They aren't the same thing. The website is just a method to get people to enroll in the program. But as this Forbes article from last week detailed, there is an underlying reason for the website failures:

The problems with the healthcare act itself are far greater than the issues with the website, and those are the problems we should be focusing on. We're concentrating on the website issues, and like it or not, those will be fixed, and then we have to scramble around looking for something else to complain about, when the real problem is right there in front of us. I posted a warning issued by conservative and former world chess champion Garry Kasparov about the wrong direction of this discussion a couple days ago:

The tactic the opponents of the ACA should be pursuing was outlined by the Urban Institute's study of a theoretical delay in the individual mandate:

This is much less objectionable -- and almost surreptitious -- method of bringing down the ACA. No one pays attention to facts and figures in Washington, they only go on gut emotion. They don't realize that delaying the individual mandate would probably all but destroy the ACA, resulting in higher premiums, fewer ACA clients, and most likely -- in an election year -- the need to debate increasing taxes to fund this disastrous program. (Wow, then why am I trumpeting this so all the liberal nutballs will know our tactics?)

I say, "Let's do it!" Get rid of this ignorant socialistic power grab and put healthcare back in the free enterprise system where it belongs.

The root of the problem is that it is a violation of the consent of the governed. Yes, the majority voted for Obama and knew he would introduce government control of health care.

The violation came to light when the famous statement - we have to pass the bill to see what's in it - was made.

IOW, publically (and for the most part politically) no one knew what was in the bill - e.g. laws concerning abortion or euthanasia, "death panels", or even so many other things not health related.

Even the SCOTUS said it is a tax.

OK don't join up and you have committed a felony - tax evasion. After all the IRS runs the enforcement of it and we know what they are like. Little or no due process and all you own is seized and/or you end up behind bars.

WE WERE SOLD A BILL OF GOODS.

Both parties are equally to blame IMO.

It needs to be rescinded, studied line for line, revised and then voted upon (the revisions and then the overall bill).
