I was raised with guns all around me, my father and older brother being gunsmiths in their own right. I've owned many guns and still do. I couldn't imagine not having guns. In my world guns are as natural as aspirin in the medicine cabinet.

My children grew up with guns all around them also. Loaded guns. They knew where every one of them were stored away (still do, you know, kinda like the pioneer children were acquainted with loaded guns all around them at all times). At a very early age they shot many of these guns and later on in their early teens they packed these guns on hikes in the woods if they wished. Although their mother and I have killed many deer and other game with these guns, I can't recall the first game animal that my children chose to kill on their own. They're 'modern'. Unlike their parents, they chose not to hunt, although they've eaten much game brought to the table from their parents hunting. It's their choice. But they know what it takes to eat meat. Period. I've no doubt they would do the deed in a pinch.

If it were not for the insane gun laws in NJ, I would get me another shotgun ...probably 20 gauge for bird hunting and/or skeet.

My "complimentary parting gift" from the military was my Colt .45 1911A. I've said a couple other times on here, I was given the opportunity to turn it in and exchange it for a Beretta M9, but I declined. A Beretta rep was there that day, and asked if I would mind sharing with him why.

I told him, "If I'm down and on the run, armed with your M9 and an enemy combatant out looking for me attempts to take me into custody, I could fire your weapon -- "pop, pop, pop" -- and he'd still keep coming. With my Colt, I can fire one shot -- BOOM!! -- and even if I hit him in the hand, he'll go down. I like that. I don't like your gun. Sorry."

Good choice. I ended up getting rid of most of my guns (except one - which is actually my wife's). Ever do something and immediately regret it?

If Billary runs and gets elected, which I fully expect since our nation is chock full of imbeciles with rights to vote, you can bet she will attack the 2A and other parts of the constitution. She will be out to prove she can do more damage than Sotero who defeated her. 'She's' a woman scorned by at least two men.

A few rifles, G19, LCR, a few shotguns and .22's. Carry the G19 almost everyday and is rotated with the LCR.

The LCR is the one that I (my wife) have now. I had a Springfield .40 which I really enjoyed (but I thought a little too wide to carry everyday - which I stopped doing a few years ago anyway).

Had trouble finding it around here just like everywhere else. Went to this site and found what we wanted and less than most brick and mortar stores. Actually got it for less than half of what they want in stores and at shows.

Punch in what you're looking for, it will show you where to go from there.
