Big Brother will require it one day -- may as well get 'em used to it.

I'm surprised it's just a sock. After all, they could be developing cavities in those developing teeth under their gums. It's a parents job to stop these things. What we really need is constant scanning that includes internal bone structures and organs.
This would also help a parent know if a child is nearing the point of hunger, and avoid having a child become uncomfortable and traumatized by experiencing hunger pains and having to cry out for a feeding, which could lead to psychological trauma, which could later manifest itself in a number of poor behaviors, such as being very active at the age of two, refusing to share toys sometimes, and really liking sugar, which may require lots of counseling and medication to get under control.
Don't mock the sock. It's the beginning of a brave new move towards the best interest of the children. Accept the sock! LOVE THE SOCK!
I think I just lost the little bit of sanity I was clinging to.

They might want to consider including an aversion therapy shock treatment that will allow the parent to deliver a mild, non-fatal shock to the misbehaving child so as to quickly eliminate any negative behavioral aspects in the child.

Good grief, what am I saying? Somebody probably already has one on the market.

Yes, aversive therapy does exist and has been extremely controversial from the onset.

You realize, of course, I was being completely facetious?

Yep, which made a very contrasting mix of emotions in my brain when I read it and at the same had flashes of the video I'd seen of kids having aversion therapy used on them.

This whole thread needs to be sent to a behavioral center for study.
