Just so you understand, this was an all-GOP final for the open fifth district congressional seat in Louisiana. Both are Tea Partyers. The only difference?

McAllister has no political experience. The voters are tired of the status quo. They are tired of politics and politicians. They want fresh air and new blood. I wasn't sure of this until just the last few days, but the ACA debacle and the plummet of both the Great Pretender's numbers and those of Congress -- with continuing disfavor developing as this healthcare plan utterly fails and the G/P's scandals come home to roost -- give me hope to believe this will be repeated across the nation in the late summer primaries and in the general election next year.

That is a very positive sign. I too hope it is repeated all across the nation next year. There is no doubt the GOP will retain control of the House, and they have a better shot at the Senate than they did six months ago.

You are correct, besides being outdone with this Administration, the people are tired of those who have been in power for decades on both sides.

Louisiana politics has always been kind of weird. I remember when the two finalists for governor were a Klansman on one side and a convicted embezzler on the other.

What they are tired of is the do nothing establishment and get their backsides kicked by the dems GOP.The only thing they stand for is keeping their jobs.
