Were you asleep during the lead-up to the 2008 election? The Great Pretender's people got hold of this and outed it to the press to discredit their GOP rival.

I voted for McCain with great regret, but just one question. What does his wife having a drug problem have to do with him being President of the United States? As much as I disliked him, he would be light years ahead of Obama with or without the drugs his wife takes.

And by the way, speaking of drugs, who did you vote for in 1992 and 1996?

"What does his wife having a drug problem have to do with him being President of the United States?"

The forum is for news, was wondering if others had heard of it, I had not, not sure it relates to him/his election or not, that was not in the post that I know of.

Was more interested in the other point of the article. From the article: "Cindy negotiated a pre-prosecution agreement so she would avoid being charged and avoid court,” Gosinski said noting that a common person on the street would have immediately been charged with a drug crime and most likely faced a stiff jail sentence if found guilty, but Cindy, a U.S. Senator’s wife, was able to negotiate a way out."

"And by the way, speaking of drugs, who did you vote for in 1992 and 1996?"

Is that an insinuation or just being nosy?

Actually I followed the proceedings quite closely. Was kind of wondering how I missed it.

Just being nosy. I have voted for three Democrats in twelve elections myself.

I think you were being honest in the above because elsewhere you have said that you voted for Carter in 76,Dukasis in 88 and Clinton in 92.
However there are discrepancies. I did some sleuthing. You had said:

"Since 1980,my vote has been Republican." 7/28/12
"I voted for Carter. That is the only Democrat vote I have ever cast for President." 7/16/12
"I have voted in ten Presidential elections, and only voted for a Democrat in Carter's first term." 3/21/12
"I have not voted for a Democrat in fifty years." 1/9/12. Of course that would have been impossible since you were only 16 at the time.
On 10/28/08 you claimed that you had voted for Nixon in 1968.

My question, (aside from the inconsistencies) is why as a professed political conservative you voted thrice for Presidential candidates who were pro-gay and pro-abortion among their other harmful stances? As you must have known there were less liberal alternatives back then.

I'd love to know why someone would find it necessary to go back through five years' worth of posts in order to denigrate someone. If anyone can give me a valid answer, please do so.

The time it would take me to find all those posts, I'm guessing I could treat about a dozen clients.

I'm sorry, how does airing the private family laundry of a political leader help us?

Also, how does a family member's private addiction affect how a leader might govern?

Regardless of how long it took you to do it, why would you do it? That was the point of the post.

And laugh about it? Sorry, doesn't seem very Christlike to me, and while I've not been Christlike on occasion here, I'm trying very hard to live up to what He would have me do. Taking any time, regardless of how significant or insignificant, to locate a brother's discrepancies and air them before the whole board seems vindictive and petty. I would take this up with you in PM, but you've chosen to make this a public display. So publicly, again, why?

He was probably the member of a union. My dad did the same things. Talked conservative, but voted liberal. Most union members do.

...imagine how much you could've gotten done if it weren't for the 3000 posts you've made on the BB.

Perhaps some obsessive behavoral trait....and it has developed quite a personality where Saturn Neptune is conserned. I say this not out of malice ....no brother needs to be attacked ...however it is more of a concern. We are Christians, not heathens, therefore we are to be both loving & gracious to each other ...we know what the pagan Gentiles do and we as followers & disciples of Christ, we know better. And if you two brothers are truly "Brothers in Christ " you will work it out between yourselves and privately.

    God bless you both!
