We celebrate it in our home but not in church.

Yes, I celebrate. Church celebrates Advent and Christmas. I don't care if someone wishes me a merry Christmas. Yes, it's too commercialized.

Yes, but not as a high holy day, or some such superstitious sense (cf Colossians 2:16-17).

No. Explanation: The Mass of Christ (Christmas) is a Romish practice which is steeped in pagan idolatry. This practice was outlawed in England and the U.S. by those called Puritan. "The Pure"--an interesting notion.

Our church practice has been seriously polluted and corrupted by pagan idolatry.

"A little leaven leavens the whole lump."

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Yes, I celebrate the birth of Christ both at home and at church. What some ancient Roman catholics or pagans deemed "Christmas" years ago really has no bearing on me or my celebration. The day is set aside to remember the birth of our Lord. The angels celebrated, and so do I!

Yes, I do. And so does my church. The only church I specifically know of that doesn't is my aunt's church. My aunt does, but she considers it a Romans 14 matter.

Not everyone celebrates it, though, including some Christians, and that should be respected.

It is truly sad and somewhat depressing this question has to be asked on a Christian message board!

My side of the family as well as that of my spouse has abandoned giving gifts to spend more time and money on the spiritual side of Christmas.

Materialism has ruined both Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is time for Christians to take Christmas back.

Personally I enjoy buying gifts for others, knowing them will enjoy them.

I LOVE Christmas! I celebrate Christmas. My church celebrates Christmas. Every Christian I know celebrates Christmas. Gifts, Christmas trees, candlelight services, and everything that goes with it! How can you not celebrate the birth of our Savior? Who cares how it originated or what someone used to celebrate on Christmas? Today, it is the celebration of the birth of Christ!

I agree.................asking whether we celebrate Christmas on a Christian forum, is silly, IMHO.

I love to celebrate Christmas. Even now I am listening to Jazz Christmas music both secular and Christian on Pandora. I love Christmas decorations and giving gifts. I love to proclaim the birth of Christ. Keep the anti-Christmas crowd away from me and their references to a pagan past. Good grief if that is a case for an argument then we also need to get away from the days of the week used on the calendar, sports arenas, etc.

Cannot imagine a church or family NOT singing carols of the incarnation and birth. THAT is "celebrating" and yes, we do.

We give scripture/devotions for all the weeks of Advent and sing. We light candles and sing, sing, sing. I LOVE Christmas!!

My church will be going caroling sometime early on in December. I've never actually gone caroling before, as in singing door to door. Sounds like we'll actually be doing that.
