1) You justify your beliefs about yourself by your status as a liberal, not your deeds.

    2) You exempt yourself from your attacks on America:

    3) What liberals like should be mandatory and what they don’t like should be banned: .

    4) The past is always inferior to the present:

    5) Liberalism is a jealous god and no other God may come before it:

    6) Liberals believe in indiscriminateness for thought:

    7) Intentions are much more important than results:

    8) The only real sins are helping conservatism or harming liberalism:

    9) All solutions must be government-oriented:

    10) You must be absolutely close minded:

    11) Feelings are more important than logic:

    12) Tribal affiliation is more important than individual action:

In order to be a liberal, you must believe ...

... that the same public school teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read or do math is nonetheless qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

... that trial lawyers are selfless heroes, the insurance industry is corrupt, doctors are overpaid, and the government can fix all of it.

... that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than nuclear weapons in the hands of Iranian fanatics and North Korean communists.

... that global temperatures are not affected by cyclical, documented changes in the brilliance of the sun, but are affected by yuppies with SUVs.

... that gender roles are artificial but being gay is natural.

... that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.

... that hunters don't care about nature, but pasty, revisionist activists who've never been outside Seattle do.

... that killing babies in an abortion clinic and spiking trees so loggers are killed by flying metal rods are OK, but fighting a war against tyranny and terrorism is criminal.

... that self esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.

... there was no art before federal funding.

... there was no housing before HUD.

... there were no adequate healthcare plans before the ACA.

... the free market that gives us 500+ channels, can't deliver the quality that PBS does.

... that without a federal Department of Energy, there would be no gasoline or electricity.

... the NRA is bad, because they stand up for all of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good, because they stand up for a few parts of the Constitution.

... that Christians speaking out against radical Islam is racist, but atheists speaking out against Christianity is "freedom of speech and of religion."

... that taxes are too low but ATM fees are too high.

... that Harriet Tubman, Cesar Chavez, Gloria Steinem, and the Vietnam War are more important to American history than George Washington, General Robert E. Lee. Thomas A. Edison, or any war fought before 1965.

... that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides aren't.

... that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.

Yes, and this is closely related to #7.

Example: We're for the troops, just not for their mission.

    True, true.

I don't quite understand what is being said here...

    Ah yes, my personal favorite!

    And increasing defense spending.

    Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

Unless it involves an expansion of government.

Another one closely related to #7.

    It takes a village...
