After Jesus demonstrated how it is done, He passed the ball to his followers

“And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him,
He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out,
and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.” (Matthew 10:1)

“(He) gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.
He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” (Luke 9:1-2)

“After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also …
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions,
and over all the power of the enemy … the spirits are subject to you” (Luke 10:1-20)

Just before leaving, Jesus gave The Great Commission to His followers

“And Jesus came and spoke to them (His 11 disciples), saying,
‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations …
    teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ ”
    (Matthew 28:18-20)

Note: disciples were to do such things as heal the sick, cast out demons, etc.
    Then Jesus said,
“Do all of this only until the canon of Scripture is completed.”

    And His followers were obedient

“And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done
among the people … And believers were increasingly added to the Lord,
multitudes of both men and women … sick people and those who were
tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.” (Acts 5:12-16)

“And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of
human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your
faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:4)

“… in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God,
so that from Jerusalem … I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.” (Romans 15:19)

I was obedient to spread the gospel in this manner for 15 years overseas.
How many years have you done so? … months? … weeks? … days? … hours?

I don't believe you wish any of us a happy anything. You have too much disdain for us, brother. I wish it weren't that way.

I'm not going to call you a liar here. If you say you've performed signs and wonders in spreading the gospel for 15 years, I won't argue with you.

Here's what I will say. This quote of yours? It's arrogant, prideful, boasting, and you are using your claimed experiences to browbeat those haven't had your experiences.

It's unloving, unkind, and intentionally mocking. I'm calling you out brother - in the kindest way I can.

You have NO idea of the evangelism experiences of the people on this board.

    None whatsoever.

Yet you judge us as spiritually impotent fools. Raca. Unbelievers.

    Do you not see that?

I'm not going to say that signs and wonders have ceased. God can and does do everything according to His will. But I will say this on the authority of God's Word and not my opinion.

    • The Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians that one of the marks of a true apostle is signs and wonders and miracles.
    • He also says in Ephesians 2 that the apostles and prophets were the foundation of the church with Jesus being the chief cornerstone. Brother, the foundation has long since been laid.
    • He also says in the next chapter that special revelations that had never been given before were now given to him and other of God's apostles and prophets of that generation. The special revelation being and uncovering of the mystery of the gospel - the mystery being that Gentiles will be included. Well, the gospel is no longer a mystery.

Your message isn't what is so frustrating to me. It's the delivery. I can't fathom you wishing us a Happy Thanksgiving because it's apparent that you don't give two hoots nor a holler about anyone here.

Psa94:4 - "They utter speech, and speak insolent things; All the workers of iniquity boast in themselves."

One must understand the Gospel if one is to be given credit from God or man for preaching it. Mormonism is NOT the Gospel.

Those of the unbelief are those who believe in cessationism and
do not believe in the many dozens of passages teaching against OSAS!
    Plus a few others.

I'd say it's high time you got with God's program.
Perhaps He won't mind waiting until after you've pigged out on the gobbler.

You're welcome, Roberto, but unfortunately these are available only to those BACs
to whom the Lord Jesus has given the anointing of the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

This is available to those who ask for it ... I remind you of Matthew 7:7-11.
(These numbers work quite nicely in Las Vegas as well.)

Without this baptism, and the 9 spiritual power gifts, the church is basically powerless!

And all of the credit goes to Satan and early church leaders who had their reasons for following him.

He does not like questions which expose his errors in doctrines. Doubt you will get an answer.

    Yup!
Everything in the NT is for today ...
even instructions to Christian slave masters and their Christian slaves.

Those of the unbelief just don't get it ...
It's all about belief-faith-obedience to what we have in our hot little hands!

No matter what ended up being in the NT ... we iz to believe it and be obedient to it.

Sorry that you are of the unbelief.

If you ever get to believe in moving mountains, you'll be A-OK.
    But, until then ...

strange that paul did NOT say the real Gospel consisited of "signs and wonders", but the power of the Holy spirit to save and transform lives thru the preaching of jesus birth/death/resurrection/ascension!

neither peter nor John either asserted that the Gospel had to also include what was in acts...

maybe because they relaised and know that the Age of the Apostles was ending without it contiuniung forward, as they were leaving to us the more sure word of their testimonies and sacred scriptures they were writting?

I hereby suggest that since you are insane, you should be banned from this forum.

    Romans 15:19
"in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God
... I have fully preached the gospel of Christ."

News Flash ... no Baptist fully preaches the gospel of Christ.

May I go back to my snoozing now?

Luk 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
Luk 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
Luk 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
Luk 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
Luk 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Paul spoke of men such as E7....

Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
