....captivity to the obedience of Christ;" --2 Cor 10:5b

Long ago I heard a preacher tell us that "every thought" means that we will be held accountable to Christ for even what we dream about.

Is such an interpretation of "every thought" an accurate one?

Yes, but not as if one did it on purpose. Every thought (feeling and emotion) will be judged as whole or corrupt, holy or profane, good or evil.

Dreams reveal the thoughts, intents, desires and fears of the heart.

Thoughts yes, not so sure about dreams.

My dreams have mostly been about everyday mundane things, nightmares are rare; not sure what that means. :)

I know many times I've gone to bed thinking about a problem and wake the next morning decided on what to do; the subconscious at work maybe?

At my age a lot of the people in my dreams have already crossed over. It is refreshing to visit with loved ones, if only in my dreams.

I'll be happy too, when you find me the verse that alludes to the heliocentricity of the solar system. (Not that there isn't one, but I'll bet you don't know where to find it.)

That dreams are thoughts and intents of the heart is self-evident. Not that there isn't a verse I can post, because there is, but it's like demanding a verse that says the sky is blue most of the time.

So, for right now I'll allude to nature, and the two posts directly above mine, and when you demonstrate your Scriptural prowess, I'll answer in like manner.

First off all our sins are covered and remembered no more if we are saved so we are not going to be held accountable for anything since it is not remembered. We may not receive everything we could have but we are not going to suffer torment.
That being said if the 2Cor 10:5 passage is being obeyed while we are awake our dreams will not be sinful. Psalm 4:8 Pro 3:24
