A Liberal Squeeze On Temple Mount?

    As I see it, the Old Testament is all about the Chosen People. Accordingly, God has "Title" to that little piece of land for which he promised to His people and soon, our Lord will ensure His promise.

    In the meantime however,

    TEL AVIV – The reports of stepped-up activism to ensure non-Muslim prayer on the Temple Mount comes as the Obama administrations continues to quietly push a plan in which the Palestinian Authority and Jordan will receive sovereignty over the holy site.

    On Tuesday, the Washington Post reported on what it described as a “small but growing movement by Jewish activists” demanding the right to pray on the mount.

    Currently, all non-Muslims are barred from praying at the site. While Muslims can access the Temple Mount 24-hours a day, Jews and Christians may only ascend during certain hours, and not on any Christian, Jewish or Muslim holidays or other days considered “sensitive” by the Waqf, the Islamic custodians of the mount.

    When Israel became a nation back in 1948, America, along with several other countries around the world recognized and accepted their status as a nation. It's a shame our government is now trying to apply leverage contrary to God's plan and, in essence, turn against Israel.

    ...has America no shame?

    Since the OT Israel no longer exists a fight over a hill will a couple of buildings on it is difficult to sustain.

    I think the Israeli leadership (Dayan ordered the flag(s) removed) of the 67 war did a huge disservice giving the "temple mount" back to the Muslims when they took control of the whole of Jerusalem.

    It has been a thorn that creates festering sores.

    Sure there would have been a certain amount of outrage, but the media would have eventually gotten over it and when the mosque was removed, so would the Muslims (at least somewhat) and wouldn't be using it as a prop for attention.

    It was NEVER consider a huge sacred sight by Muslims until rumored that the Jews would come back. As soon as rumblings of the return started, the dome of the rock took on significant importance to the Muslims.

    Let them go to Mecca - that is what is their truly sacred sight.

    It matters so very little what the world thinks or considers wrong.

    Tens of thousands have been slain in Africa, and Asia, and the world turned a blind eye. Piracy is an ever increasing threat, the world doesn't care. God is going to severely judge the world with great trouble that it has never known - and folks really have not a care.

    A little prayer on the Mount, and the whole world trembles in fear and self righteous judgment.

    I am surprised that God continues to wait.

    How long, Lord, before you will revenge for evil done to your own?

    I agree with what you say about Muslims. However only those Jews/Israelites who have been redeemed through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior belong to God. Otherwise they occupy the same status relative to God as do Muslims, in my opinion!

    Absolutely correct.

    They remain in a lost condition as do all without Christ.

    They are not saved in any other manner than through the Christ of Calvary.

    Part of the problem that I attribute to the modern dispensational preaching is that somehow the lost state of the people is for the most part ignored and there is some matter of leniency given because they are "God's people."

    The only ones who are heirs are believers.

    Until the day that the Jews are saved in the same manner that Gentiles are saved, they remain lost and in name only are God's people. They may carry the heritage of title, but have no standing outside of Christ.

    I pray that they will be at peace, having and knowing the true Prince of Peace.
