Let’s start here … with the definition of WHO is righteous:
“… let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous” (1 John 3:7)

And note … only BACs are CAPABLE of being righteous:
“… you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.” (1 John 2:29)
But, the reverse is NOT true:
everyone who is born of God is NOT necessarily righteous!

“… whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.” (Acts 10:35)

“… let the one who is righteous(*), still practice righteousness” (Revelation 22:11)

(*) Could be referring to Christ’s initial imputed righteousness.

Slaves of obedience leading to righteousness …
“Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey,
you are that one’s slaves whom you obey …?” (Romans 6:16)

You get to choose to be …
“(slaves) of sin leading to (eternal) death, OR
(slaves) of obedience leading to righteousness” (Romans 6:16)

Righteousness required to be in the kingdom …
    “Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil;
for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy
in the Holy Spirit. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God …”
    (Romans 14:16-18)

    Righteousness unto holiness …
“… so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.” (Romans 6:19)

You are responsible for maintaining your righteousness,
    which leads to
“holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14)

Yes, this is POSSIBLE for BACs who have the Holy Spirit … leading, teaching, chastising.

    Your interpretation of Romans 6:16 is error. You err because you purposely omitted verses 17 and 18 which explains verse 16;

Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

If you isolate verse 16 and do not consider the verses that follow it, then yes, it supports your view that you either serve sin unto death, or you are obedient unto righteousness.

But verses 17 and 18 shows these persons by a one time event of obeying or believing the gospel have been made free of sin. Sin is no longer their master, sin no longer possesses them as a slave master possessed a slave as property.

Now these persons have become slaves or servants to righteousness.

Both sin and righteousness have been personified in this passage, they are compared to living persons. You MUST understand this to understand what Paul is saying here.

When you sin, you sell yourself to sin (person). Sin owns you, you are his possession. No matter what you do, good or bad, you serve only sin, and his wage to you is death. This is the analogy Paul is making.

But the moment you obey or believe the gospel, that moment you die to sin (person). He no longer owns you as a possession. Now you belong to righteousness (person). Now, righteousness (person) is your master. Everything you do, you now do for righteousness (person). Righteousness (person) does not pay you life, because you cannot merit life, but righteousness (person) gives you the free gift of eternal life.

This is what this passage is saying. But you pervert the meaning of this passage by pulling verse 16 out of context and isolating it from the scripture which follows it, which scripture explains and defines it.

We've been down this road before, but perhaps you missed it.

Foist of oil, you have no clue as to Paul's ingeniously tactful method of writing.
It's all way over your head.
Pastors are supposed to be anointed enough, and following the Spirit enough, to explain these things to der flocks.

Technically, these BACs are (1), but in practice they are (2).

    That's why Paul says ...

    (2) “… so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.” (Romans 6:19)

I.E. they're not practicing vhat they're capable of!
And, if they continue in NOT presenting, they face eternal death.
Ref. Romans 6:15-23 ... 3 times in 9 verses he mentions eternal death to these BACs!

    Enjoy!

Foist?? What, do you think you are from the Bronx? They would kill you there.

And if this passage is over anyone's head, it is yours. Paul is showing that these persons have obeyed the gospel and been made free from sin. Sin no longer owns them, sin no longer has any power or dominion over them.

Why don't you learn some respect and talk like a decent human being, and then learn some scripture while you are at it.

'Tis all about: PERFORMANCE often does not match up with ABILITY.
Like da coach says: "You should be beating dese guys by 20, but yer losing by 10!!!"

You don't have to always be a loser.

Again, your lack of respect for others throws serious doubt on your conversion.

Try talking like a decent human being instead of a teenage punk. Then folks MIGHT take you seriously.
