As I have been membershipping/attending a local baptist church that has grown from initial sixe of about 30 to about 250 now, and many of us are experiencing a "blending" of theologies, as some ae cal/some arm, msot dispy, some a mil, some stauch Kjv, others not...

We have a 240 handbook on our church doctrines, and while hold firmly to the essentials of the Faith, still grants to members right to decide whether second coming is pre mid post a mil etc, if arm/cal corrct one to view scriptures, etc...

Any others have a blended church body?

The church I attend is blended in regards to Cal/Arm. It is not a standard of membership and they do view this as an issue of reasoning out Scripture – so there are members in both camps.

Our church, which started with approximately 18 seven years ago, we now have approximately 1200-1500 each Sunday. We have both theological types, "and then some" in our church. There is no emphasis an theological labels or proclivities in our worship. Our purpose and mission is to be a church that "unchrurched" people want to visit and attend.

I think that many of those whom the Lord has saved came outfrom say Catholic circles, as many have in my church, and so had to undo all of their theological baggage!

Also, many were not raised even in a church with definite theology/doctrines, so we have to approach this as bodies will have all types of backgrounds/theologies, so as long as we can agree on the essentials of the faith...

For example, my Senior pastor is a post trib pre mil, I am pre trib pre mil, I am a calvinistic in salvation, while he is an evagelical arminian in that regards, he is pro Niv 2011, mine not so much, yet we have interesting discussions, yet stay brothers in christ!

It's a baptist church, so you know, where there are three baptists, you'll find four opinions. Unity doesn't require uniformity.

It seems when it gets down to it, many churches are this way if they have more than, say, two people in it.

Read the Book of Jude ten times and make a personal application.

We live in an age of watered down gospel and repeat after me salvation.

The truth of salvation has been in place since Gen. 3:15, long before Chauvin and Arminius.

There is a camp outside Jon and Jas: they are called sovereign grace.

This would seem to be a test of fellowship: the Arminians seem to think that exercising faith in their faith has something to do with salvation.

The answer cannot be all of the above. They could both be wrong.

    Study Jude again.

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

    Bro. James

If you've ever bothered to step up and join a church you would realize most everyone has a few things they disagree on. But you would rather examine and year apart every little thing which will hinder your relationship with Christ. Fellowship with Christian brothers and sisters is essential to the Christian walk. Sitting on the Internet is not.

Sure thing. Why your name calling and previous cursing is allowed on this forum I will never know. I might be a pathetic excuse of a human in your eyes but I BELONG to a baptist church that I'm proud of. Keep whining about your poor situation in Jersey and all the churches you just wouldn't dream of joining! You post your business all over this board, it's nothing private.

You don't like it then don't read it. As for being a member of a Baptist church....congradulations....in Mississippi where there are churches on each street corner that's no accomplishment. Try coming to NJ and finding one. Of course you wouldn't know what it is like here though would you? Your back there in Dog Patch, happy as a clam and judging others. Is that what your church teach? If so you shouldn't so proud....in fact, you should be ashamed.
