I have recently been made aware of this preacher. My mom and my aunt are very big into this mans preaching. I admit that I have not done a lot of research on him myself. What I have heard and read he strikes me as an Osteen type, prosperity type but I was wondering if anyone hear has any information on him.

Was flipping through the channels a few months back and came across his show, so I've heard the name, but he creeped me out too much to hang around and see where he was coming from.

Had to look him up on Google. My only question is, "How many facelifts does a guy 50 years old have to have to look like that?"

He credits Kenneth hagin/Copeland with his teachings, so would not be one that Baptists should listen to at all!

You are absolutely correct. He is a very likeable fella. But he has the exact same smarminess that Joel has. Steer clear of anyone who counts Copeland as inspiration.

So true, as he credits hagin as being his primary teaching source!

Is it just me, or does he look like a human lizard or snake when staring into camera?

Televangelists and BIG BIG HAIR & MAKEUP go hanf in hand. Kudos to MacArthur for finally having the Strange Fire Conference to expose the "theology" that these jackals espouse.

I was pretty sure that was his theological position. My mom and aunts are completely taken with him. I tried to advise caution but that went nowhere. Have to do some real research on him to try again to caution them. Thanks for th help.

you need to get quotes of him spouting heresy. the real problem seems to me that your family has no discernment. my sister has the same problem....I need to pray for an opportunity to demonstrate how Paula White spews heretical garbage....and I have to be careful about it as she apparently does not understand true Bible Doctrine.

Just research the Word of faith movement, as that movement is VERY dangerous!

He had a pretty good explanation of Jesus cursing the fig tree. Do some research by listening to him ashleysdad. Then decide.

    Folks,

I have not read on this thread even a single reason to discredit Joseph Prince.

Here is what I was expecting this thread to develop.
    1) Credible doctrine errors and other violations of Scripture principles.

    2) Moral failure (wrong doctrine always leads to wrong living).
Rather than spending time on the fluff and innuendo, offer something concrete that the BB casual readers can verify and use to respond to family members that are caught up in the web of deceit as some do.

So what the man makes a zillion dollars, has the largest Asian church, holds hands with the man who has the largest church in the US, and perhaps has the ...

What REALLY matters is being able to show a family member the Scriptures and what the man has taught and lived.

That way a person has to choose between God and man.

Isn't that what the OP is actually asking?

On the Web is this: Joseph Prince

The problem is that the author is refuting what Joseph Prince writes about OSAS - A BAPTIST distinctive.

Look at the "sinner's prayer" that he quotes out of the book. Is it not very much like that offered by MANY - even of the Calvinistic thinking?

I didn't take time to read all the article, but did skim most in a search for some doctrinal error.

If you know of something - post it.

If all you have is opinion on association and wealth - that is merely helping Prince out by giving more advertisement to him.

He is a prosperity health and wealth teacher. Things like God owes you healing and all your troubles will disappear if you just think and believe the right way. I have watched him several times.

ANY person saying that hagin and Copeland are his spiritual teachers is one to avoid like a plague!

ANY Christian that watches him or copeland or Hinn et all, should have the Holy Spirit convicting them of "heresy alert!"

After listening to several clips of Prince he sounds mostly sound except for the times he does promote Word-Faith stuff like most of the TBN crowd. But isn't that what they do: 95% orthodox mixed in with 5% heresy.
