    Several years ago the unit nickname for the 174 Tac Fighter Wing of the NY Air National Guard was "The Boys from Syracuse" Well, Hillary Clinton got her nose involved and demanded - (and won) that "Boys" be dropped from offical use.
    So do you think it is a big deal, or what?
    What brought this up was I saw an obit in the paper yesterday. The article mentioned that the individual had served with "The Boys From Syracuse" -

    Probably the next item on HRC's agenda will be to re-name the USAF's lower enlisted ranks (E-4 & below) from Airman to AirPERSON!

    Thus we will have the E-4 rank of Senior Airman changed to Senior AirPERSON, etc. :BangHead:

    This reminds me of how the GOP assumed Hillary would be the Democrat nominee for President last time and started focusing all its energies on stopping the "Hillary Express" in the words of Sean Hannity before she had received the nomination.

    All that focus on Hillary allowed the Obama Steam Express to ramrod right on down the tracks and into the White House.

    There's already a GOP strategy to attempt to destroy this woman's candidacy in 2014 and she hasn't even said she is gonna run for anything. :laugh:

    Gotta love politics.

    2) You're kidding, right? She's done everything to indicate her intention to run except announce. Anyone who thinks she "hasn't even said she is gonna run for anything" is out of touch with political reality.

    It's only a big deal if there are women in this fighter wing and they object to the term "Boys from Syracuse". Otherwise, there is no problem.

    I just think this topic and a lot of the stuff I'm seeing from the GOP is already gearing up for her as the presumptive nominee. Been there and done that. Learn from the mistake.

    so the 9th CAV should no longer be called the Buffalo soliders?

    Zaac - let me guess - you never served in the military - did you?
