President Barack Obama said that racial tensions may have softened his popularity among white voters within the last two years, according to a story posted on the New Yorker magazine’s website today.

“There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black president,” Obama said in the article by David Remnick, appearing in the magazine’s Jan. 27 edition.

    Come on Rev?

You are much too smart to ever think that this guy, the ego-maniac of this century, would ever admit he failed at anything!

Yet another example of a liberal going too far.

Wasn't it a year or more ago that President Obama said that those who differed with him did not do so on a racial basis? He has to make up his mind.

That's assuming he has one that he can "make up."

In Obama's world the government shutdown, the failed roll-out of Obamacare, and the NSA spying on us has nothing to do with his downturn in popularity. I guess people just figured out in the last three months that he was black!

Try and look at the positive side of his presidency.
I can think of two things he's done over his term:

    1. He's lowered carbon emissions by doubling gas prices and lowering employment levels.

    2. He's lowered his golf score.

does he really care - he is not able to run again. Starting in Jan 2017, (three years from today) he can start charging some 100 grand for a speech.... (that is 1097 days)

Agreed. This was at best, a poorly considered comment. The president should apologise for his accusation of racism against the American people. His drop in popularity is all about his inability to lead, and skin colour has nothing to do with that.
