is the NIV translation officially seen as being DE in theory or not?

    Its not a formal version, so would it by definition fall under DE camp?

    Why do you ask the same ole' questions over and over? Experts in New Testament studies put it in the mediating class --you have even said as much.

    Now try your best to think of something entirely new.

    Would you also group the esv/Hcsb/Nlt here in same broad category?

    And would the Niv be in middle, with Nlt more DE, and HCSB/ESV more formal?

    No,both the ESV on the left,and the NLT right side of the ledger would not be in the median range.

    Would you see the HCSB as being in same range as Niv, just bit more "literal?"
