Looks to me like 2013-2014 is about the same as 2011-2012; and well within the standard deviation for the period since 1981. The overall summary of the website is that Arctic ice is below normal, while Antarctic ice is above average.

 

It's been below zero for most of 10 days now. I think the ice will be back.

I did hear a feller on the TV say that the reason it was so cold is because it is getting so warm.

I try to watch my intake of stupid stuff like those folk who got their boat stuck in the ice that they went to prove wasn't there.

 

Local conditions? It snowed in South Texas. Here's some news from a little further south:

Back in the 1970s we were told to watch for the coming ice age. Now the same folk are beating their drum about polar ice melting. They also happen to be the same folk who tell us most of the world was under ice a few million years ago. Doesn't that mean the ice has been retreating for a few million years?

We really should leave old crabby alone when he posts things like this. It is alot like shootin ducks in a barrel.

 

I heard there was this giant big fire ball in the sky that continues to burn day and night ever since the beginning of time. It is said to warm the Earth when it rotates to face the fire ball and it fluctuates in what is called solar flares. I think we need to try and send a space ship out and squirt some water on it to cool our planet. If we all can just get Owl Gore on board, he will spin it in our favor to get enough funds for the project. What say you?

 

Be sure to go at night when it is not so hot. Another Maunder Minimum with the River Thames freezing in London would not persuade the people believing in global warming. They are now saying that dramatic changes are proof of global warming. The sleeping sun might be connected to these polar vortexes. I am wondering if California had drought in 1978 during the blizzard that hit that year in the Midwest?

 

And some of the same knuckleheads that are crying global warming and C02 now were the same knuckleheads that were crying global cooling and the imminent ice age. Of course they had models to show that as well.


And just because someone makes a graph does not mean the info is credible. My grandma can make a graph.

 

I am a five minute boat ride from Mobile Bay and a fifteen minute car ride to the Gulf of Mexico and there were icicles hanging from the eves of my house last night. Yep, global warming is really working well here according to bed wetter's logic.

Why is it that only extreme liberals buy into global warming.? I don't sense real science behind global warming. Instead there is an agenda, a political agenda designed to bring about a progressive utopia.

He's right. Cows exist because we want cheeseburgers. Meat from beefers and cheese from the milkers. A cheeseburger isn't a cheeseburger until you have a bun. Buns come from wheat. Wheat comes from the ground that is fertilized by cow poop. Cows poop because we feed them corn that was intended to make ethanol. When cows poop they pass gas. Methane kills the ozone layer and voila! global warming.

Know where all that CO2 comes from? Farmers running tractors spreading manure. Spreading manure returns nutrients to the ground but it also causes runoff when it rains. Cow poop runoff in Iowa causes algae blooms in Japan. I read that on the Internet, too but Rev didn't write it. Algae blooms kill fish. When fish populations are down folks eat more beef. Vicious cycle ain't it!

Eating cheeseburgers causes global warming. :thumbs: You can quote me on that or plagiarize at will.

 

So because I like fresh eggs in the morning & have several chickens in the backyard & they poop & I use the excrement to fertilize my garden, my lawn & several trees & shrubs then I am causing global warming? Or is chicken shite different from cow shite? Help me out here professor?
