26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is [r]unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in [t]their own persons the due penalty of their error.

25 for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due. Ro 1

That highlighted is what immediately glares out to me.

In the context of Scripture, I read it to say that men and women left the NATURAL order of one man and one woman together sexually and started doing the unnatural( men/men, women/women). And as I've said in the past Scripture stands on principles.

The principle that stands out here is that any kind of sex outside of sex between one man and one woman (husband and wife as God ordained) is unnatural and thus sinful.

I read it as God let them act according to their nature instead of intervening with His grace

Male/female sex is natural and normal .as God intended in the creation

same sex sex unnatural perversion, against intended creation

BOTH sins if done outside marriage, but same sex is worse a sin act!

WRONG. Male/female sex is natural within the confines of marriage and one husband with one wife. Everything outside of that model is unnatural no matter what you want it to be.

HEterosexual fornication is just as unnatural as homosexual fornication.

Umm, so is heterosexual fornication and all other sin.

Why? Because you say so? Where does God say that homosexual fornication is worse than heterosexual fornication?

As Phil said, the Lord created male and females for each other, created specialized body parts, NOT made for same sex to work right with!

Why do you think paul stated that when men 'burn " with lust and passion for other men, and women exchanged natural functions for other women, that is getting turned over to a depraived mind, and is a perversion/abomination before God?

Do you NOT see that the Church cannot accept this as an acceptable lifestyle for professing Chrisitian to still live in?

Or do you disagree with paul on this, as MANY liberal Christians do?

I use my eyes and brain to read it. I interpret it with the help of the Holy Spirit.

To reinforce what we already know: that all fornication is unnatural and against God's original intent.

What do you keep asking me that stupid question for? The church shouldn't be accepting any sinful lifestyle for professing Christians to live in but there are far more professing Christians in the church involved in heterosexual fornication than homosexual fornication.

You sound pretty liberal yourself with this denying that all sin is unnatural.

Sin is sin; rebellion against God and the specific 'act' or 'vehicle of rebellion' - so to speak - doesn't really matter.

The idea of 'this' sin being more 'sinful' than 'that' sin is misleading at best. It stems from man's spirit to minimize one's own acts while enabling one to look down on others.

Sort of like the definition of a materialist: Anyone who has more stuff than me.

What makes one sin greater than another? The amount of destruction it causes.

Rev, does that actually make the sin more sinful, or simply make the effects more obvious and demonstrable?

Does God weigh it differently, or is that just something that we do?

For example, if I sin in my mind....affecting no one else other than my "well-being" and the intimacy of my relationship with God, is that "less" of a sin then a sin of action that I commit that leaves some form of chaos or destruction upon others in its wake?

I did not say more sinful. The level of sin involved is not the only consideration to be made. Contrary to minority belief.

Does God really see abortion, rape, murder on same sin level as speeding ticket, stealing pens at work then?

ALL sin is wicked and wrong to God, but doesn't God see degrees of wrongness?
