So i use to be really into conspiracy theory like Illuminati and such and I use to care a lot about what was going on in politics especially when i was lost and in my hippie/drug culture phase:

I am a bit concerned about Baptists and how many tend to spend so much of their time railing on how wicked Obama is, and not nearly enough about admitting how far they fall short of God's glory and how wicked WE are as American Christians, You hear far more about the wickedness of our government than you do about the glory and power of the gospel.

I fear that we spend too much time on our hobbyhorses rather than focusing on our job which is to preach the gospel.

Forget about politics and start focusing on souls that are dying and going to hell, and instead of taking that time to rail on Obama why not spend it praying for revival in our nation?

Forgive me if I may be generalizing or exaggerating but I think you get my point.

the president has brought this on himself, by caliming to be one of us, and yet advocating policies/agenda that are against God!

The liberal christians railed 24/7 on Bush, why is it that they can drop daily H bombs on him, whiel we cannot comment on all bad stuff President Obhama done/supported?

Mr abortion/homosexual rights/pro islam president can get apass drom christians, but someone trying to be a commited christian as Bush was gets 'its hammer time!"

    OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!

At one time, being very involved in both the state and national politics, it cannot begin to be describe the level of ungodliness and corruption that abounds at both levels throughout all departments.

America is lost - judgment is upon us.

Pastors and teachers of the local assembly need to edify the people in the Word, teaching them to deny all manner of ungodliness and ungodly influences that press upon them.

That the believers be "rooted and grounded" in Christ.

Rooted is an agricultural term signifying the place of nourishment and stability no matter the storms of life and living.

Grounded is an architectural term signifying not only of the foundation of faith, but the attributes of what is built upon that faith given to the believer.

You're right. Dietrich Bonhoeffer shouldn't have said a word against Hitler.

Because taking care of your own house can easily consume all your time... and not leave you enough time to ridicule your neighbors house?

Ninety plus percent of politicians from both parties are thieves, self centered slobs, and do not care about you, me or the highway project down the street. They care about the next election and their bank accounts. That goes for both parties.

We are Christians, and are suppose to reflect Christ. Put that standard up next to the scum in the Democrat and Republican parties, it would take an electron microscope to see the difference.

The less news we watch, the more time we have to do something for the Lord or for someone in need. The good thing about ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and CNN is that there is an off switch on the remote. It is not news anymore. It is either a magazine show or an editorial event.

The off switch I cherish the most is the one that shuts up Rush Limbaugh. Talent on loan from God, sure it is, unless God is in the business of loaning out drugs, enough food to make someone 400 lbs, illicit affairs, and a big mouth.

First it is not an either or proposition.

Second as Christians we should be involved in our communities and governments.

Actually I am presently. I am using some of my time to help Matt Biven unseat Mitch McConnell in the Republican primary this spring.

I have contacted him to volunteer as well. I am not in KY but McConnel needs to go.

I have also led 5 people to the Lord and put my time in discipling them in the last year. Gota winder how many those liberals criticizing any involvement in politics have.

I think it is "acceptable" to criticize Rush's personal life and such matters, particularly if you and I have all such in order. I understand, the offensiveness that many take his 'on air" entertainment oriented arrogance and hubris.

But I think, if one listens to his analysis on current political issues, and actually bothers to think about it, he is most often very insightful and correct.

Signed....."not a ditto head", but one that appreciates much of his analysis.

Keep on ignoring what Obama and the cadre of reactionary's {who call themselves progressive} he runs with do and we may not have the freedom to worship much less witness. A people who sit idly by while the government condones, encourages, and funds, the slaughter of ~4000 unborn babies each day cannot long avoid the judgment of God in my opinion. I believe God had his hand on this country during WWII but no longer.

I just started a new job last week, and was in ear shot of a talk show, and they had Matt on. Of course, I had already decided to help, but this guy sounds genuine and the real deal. There was no double talk. You are right, Mitch has got to go. He is an embarrassment to Constitutional government and conservatives.

Well said Aaron! We learn so little from history. Thinking about it I am not aware that any notable Christian leader has spoken out about what is happening in this country; perhaps a military chaplain on one occasion.

I fear among his other serious faults we have a Chamberlain in the WH. I can't figure whether he is blinded by ideology or simply closes his eyes to truth!

Your "apology" was not genuine. Lay off the foul language. You still continue to treat other human beings made in the image of God as sub-human things beneath your contempt. After 5 years of continual lies about me and sinful slander knowing no bounds, you apparently think that you can say anyting about anyone and it doesn't matter.

You contradict yourself in the same post. You claim that as Christians we are suppopsed to reflect Christ, but using your favorite "s" words belies your real heart condition. If you really had a heart of Christ for the lost you would not be saying the kind of things you regularly post.

If you were in a room and had the opportunity to speak with Republican and Democratic leaders -- would your first impulse be to denigrate them face-to-face or would a Christ-consciousness click in? What would it take to humble you?

If you were to have the opportunity to meet with Paul Washer (again) and Rush L. would you want to regard them as you have for years on the BB? Or would you really desire to reflect Christ? I really wonder if you realize there is a big disconnect in your thinking patterns.

It was quite genuine and it is the last one you are getting. You do not know the meaning of the word genuine, truth, honesty, or integrity. You have spent years demeaning others, calling others false teachers, etc, etc, etc. I have had enough. The Bible says to get along with others to the extent possible, and you are way beyond that.

My Christian witness does not require I admire trash like you do, such as Rush, Paul W. and Calvin. Now I am telling you for the last time, leave me alone. You are a divider of believers, a gossip, and have a general hate for mankind. I am telling you one last time, leave me alone, and go sulk in your own misery.

Who are you to call anyone an arrogant piece of trash when you are just a wretched sinner who deserves to burn in hell.

You are a hypocrite and you need to repent.

I am ashamed that you call yourself a Christian and behave in such a manner, even if Rippon is totally in the wrong, you have no right to call anyone a piece of trash.

Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

You're righteousness is filthy rags in the sight of God. Need I remind you that you are made from dust?

Same goes for you, and you are a liar. You added that last line of my quote. You call others a hypocrite and edit my final quote?
