This board has been a blessing from the Lord overall to me, and have established many friendships here, but have concluded that my time here after eight years needs to come to an end. When my presence causes more negative than positive, that is the only thing one can do.

First I want to say, the administrators and moderators have a tough job, and cannot catch all that is said. They graciously donate their time and should be thanked for it. The second point is that I want to apologize to all those who are my friends, some of who saw this coming, the posts from me they had to read.

I am not going to get into names, but when I offer repeated apologies, both publically and privately, and it has the net effect of increasing the hatred and four infractions, time has come to an end. I hope for two individuals, you feel good, because in a sense you won.

I am literally worn out from the anger towards me from two brothers in Christ at every post, every thread. My problem has always been, I stay quiet for a while, ignore, avoid, till finally, I get enough and lash out. I cannot live like this anymore, as this is equivalent to murder according to the words of Christ in Matthew. It is wrong, just plain wrong.

Scripture says get along with everyone as well as you know how. In this case, after the apology, I have no idea what else to do, and am not going to continue the pattern. It hurts the board, makes the job of the moderators harder, and they have enough problems. It is a terrible example to an outside lost world looking in on the board.

God's blessing on each and everyone of you, your families, and your ministries.

Well Zaac, the word "if" was eliminated when I decided to post this thread, unless there is something I have missed. As a matter of fact, you helped me overcome this problem of being angry. When you first got here, we really had some back and forth debates in the political section over the candidacy of Mitt Romney, and the question as to whether he was a better choice than Obama. Over time, we have become close friends, and as the Lord worked that out, you have become one of the posters I truly respect.

I am sorry to see you leave. Blessings as you continue your journey with Chist.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
    May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand
    .

Ah SN, all you need to do is take a hiatus and try not to take yourself so seriously, which is something we're all prone to do. I've taken a couple in the past for that very reason.

The feelings are likewise SN and I really hope you reconsider. I would hope that the mods behind the scenes are addressing the individuals and the downright unChristlike behavior towards you.

Ahhhh..... I prefer James 1:12.....And let me give you the Welshman perception.

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night

Do not go gentle into that good night,
    Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on that sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

S/N, there's some excellent advise given here, as well as some great love expressed for you.

I would beg you to reconsider leaving. As KRN said, take a hiatus, a few deep breaths, relax, don't take yourself so seriously, and come back.

But if you don't, know that you will be missed by me, and obviously by several others here. God bless, and be well in Christ.

    Acts 15, (NASB)
8 "For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials:
29 ... if you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well. Farewell."

Don't get down and dirty EDF. It's like you want to egg things on. You must be from Jersey.

SN, I wish you wouldn't go. I'll miss your insights into Kentucky and Republican politics. Also enjoyed your posts about past Presidents and other stories about history that you told us. You met Nixon! That's cool.

The Ignore Function is a real blessing. I've got 21 people on my list. Occasionally I'll let one out and see how long they can last until they get put back in there. You should probably put those two Deere people that Rip On you all the time on the Ignore list. You'd be a lot better off for doing it.

I hope you don't leave, but I understand. I would suggest to attempt to ignore when you can, when you cannot offer witty (sometimes sarcastic) insightful commentary to your nemesis. Otherwise, how will your nemesis ever learn to grow as you are learning.

Remember, no one is ever as correct on any issue as "each of us" thinks we are.

I don't see how putting me on ignore would solve the problem of his insulting people. I'm not the only one he's insulted.

No one is forcing you to leave. Asking for more care is some responses (and yes, we see how some here poke and prod) but you've been a part of this place for many years and have every right to stick around.

So, the door is open. LOTS of folks "leave" for a few hours or few days and then come back and start posting again.

    Yes, it's all him, isn't it? You're completely fault-free.

So put him on ignore as well.

I hate to see you leave, S/N. I have enjoyed your insights, and yes even your wit and sarasm, even though you have lobbed one or two at me. My advice, even though you haven't asked for it: Take a couple of months off and then come back gradually. In any event, God Bless!
