Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer made the bold proclamation on Wednesday that the comments White House press secretary Jay Carney made in response to the recently-released CBO report on Obamacare will be “emblazoned on the tombstone of liberalism.”

Here’s the statement made by Carney that he is referring to:

“Opportunity created by affordable, quality health insurance allows families in America to make a decision about how they will work, or if they will work.”

“He says opportunity. This is what he’s heralding in this achievement, that the government is giving opportunity for people to decide if they want to work. This is the liberals’ ideal of the opportunity society,” Krauthammer said. “Of course, in a free society, you can decide if you want to work, but what Obamacare does, and so the essence of liberalism, is you can choose not to work, and the people who do work end up subsidizing you.”

In other words, he explained, the people who work “have to send their money to the government” so they can redistribute it to the people who choose, “in this ideal new opportunity society,” not to work.

OK, create a society where it is not necessary to have a middle class, dismiss loyal employees with 10 or more years invested in corporations around the country, fire the 50 years & up age brackets and put them out on the unemployment line to rot & die, create a bank scam with a dangling carrot to get people to buy some house they cant afford then kick the stool out from underneath them (all the while, hanging a rope around their neck), stagnate wages & make them work longer hours for less pay.......I can go on and on & on. But then vilify people for looking for any way to feed their families & live on a daily basis. Naturally they beat a path to government entitlement programs---since everything has been taken away from them.

What has happened right here, bottom line is they have socially re-engineered us from the bottom up in order to profit from misfortune (that they created)........Indeed,a BRAVE NEW WORLD where the 1% profits & the rest become social slaves.

If your not happy yet......have a donut. LOL

The problem is, with a socialist state, which is what the U.S. is becoming, it is the political power brokers who replace the "fat cats" as the top 1%.
Got any glazed over there?

I don't know the full context, but what is with the aversion to work? How in the world can work be optional?
