There is a mistaken belief developed over the years by the leftist media and politicians that only the rich are Republican. Actually the richest people in the country are left leaning and/or democrats: Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Michael Bloomburg, and the Wall Street Bankers

The Wall street bankers are leftist? That's ludicrous.

I didn't realize that was the way people thought about it. Maybe just because I'm thinking of it from a church membership perspective?

    No not people Gina, democrats.

They like to pretend their politicians aren't in the pockets of the bankers and corporations.

    They are.

Big business people went left years ago. We need to add communist George Soros and leftie Ted Turner. And then there is the Hollywood left--people like Barbara Streisand in Malibu and dozens of others in Hollywood. Don't forget Oprah Winfrey, a classic liberal Democrat in tv.

Who are "the wall street bankers"?

Instead of spouting leftist talking points, tell us what their names are?

Then maybe we can tell left from right.

Not only are many of the leftist rich beyond imagination but the leftist politicians keep developing schemes to fleece the sheeple.

e.g. Cap and trade - AKA the Tax Upon Thin Air (or How Mankind Will Save Planet Earth From Mankind).

It's coming, if the "progressives" retain power it will come during the next administration.

It no doubt will have a different name than those it has been given so far.

It will be related to the "Carbon Footprint" you have made upon planet earth.

Several years ago when the progressives were trying to get it passed a website was created where you could figure your "Carbon Footprint" credit or debit.

I calculated mine - For my wife and I (retired but still working) it would have been approximately $1500.00/yr (or that amount in carbon credits) I owed Uncle Sam.

The plan at the time was to make it part of the annual 1040 Tax Return Booklet with the Carbon Tax worksheet inserted.

As a side issue my Medicare advantage premium has gone from $17.00 a month to $99.00/mo under the "Affordable" Plan.

Looks like "they" will eventually just seize our paychecks.

I believe you are correct in your assessment.

I also believe that the next two national elections will determine the fate of the Republic. If the democrats lose the Senate in 2014, Harry Reid is ousted, and the Republicans have the backbone they may be able to stop Obama's power grab. However, if the American people are stupid enough to elect Hillary in 2016 i don't believe there is any chance the country will continue to exist as a free Republic. At that time we may see states like Texas simply pack up and desert the sinking ship.

I think that some on Wall Street are liberal Republicans but only few are Tea Party types. Wall Street likes big government. Maybe the geographical closeness of New York and Washington DC plays a part, but Wall Street has been getting rich in paper money from the "quantitative easing" of the US Federal Reserve Bank. At any rate, they probably like McCain more than Cruz.

One of the problems with the rich is that they are very secretive and no one knows much about them.

People from Goldman Sachs are predominantly democrat based on the amount of money they contribute to democrats. I believe Goldman Sachs is the most prosperous of the Wall Street Financial Institutions. Also people from Goldman Sachs have exercises inordinate power in the Federal government. The Secretary of Treasure under Bush [Henry Paulson of Goldman Sachs] orchestrated the bailout of the Wall Street banks at the expense of the taxpayer.
