Today my pastor preached on a topic that is close to my heart. Witnessing to the muslim population in America.

You can't imagine the CHRISTIANS who think I am nuts to " tangle " with the muslims. Most of them have that " let the next guy deal with them " attitude. Folks, these are CHRISTIANS who are saying this.

Am I weird or something? Is it so wrong for me to be an American, in America, who loves and embraces the muslim population and wants to share the gospel with them? I think some of my burden for them is because I am Armenian, and the cultures are close, faiths are different. I also have a burden for the Turks, and we all know what Turkey did to Armenia. But I have a deep burden and LOVE for these two groups of people. They just need a chance to have the gospel explained to them, that's all.

    Just had to vent

Everyone should hear the Gospel, so no you're not weird or crazy, sounds more like obedient to me.

There has been a wide dissemination of misinformation about Muslims that has unfortunately clouded people's views of Muslims in very harmful ways. This isn't new, it has happened all throughout the history of humanity. The minority group, be it Jew, black, Japanese or Native American (as examples) become easy targets, especially when people of those groups do evil things toward the larger majority.

Keep being obedient, keep helping people clear away the misinformation they may have and stay patient, if history is any teacher at all, clouds clear slowly.

No, you are not weird. They are going to hell. It should burden you and move you to action.

I have Islamic students and the destiny of their immortal souls and the immortal souls of their families burden me. I've talked to a handful of them about my faith, but they are so deeply entrenched in THEIR beliefs that it's very, very difficult.

Grammar Police, Grammar Police! When using Black as a group like the others, it should be capitalized too.

But your statement is dead on. Some groups become politicized and lots of folks in the church seem to lose all semblance of Jesus when dealing with politics.

The Body of Christ has to remember that EVERYBODY needs Jesus no matter what has politically happenened. It's the very essence of Christ going to the Cross to save those who were trying to kill him.

Keep loving on them Scarlett. That will go a long way in bridging the gap and presenting opportunities for you to continue to plant seeds and hopefully see some of them come to faith inChrist.

We all know what every body did to Armenia.

There is a large Muslim population, in Dearborn Hts , MI. When I'm in the area, I go after Muslims with the Gospel.
I used to witness to Muslims in Chicago, when I lived there.
I told the Lord that I would've gladly gone to the Stans, to preach, but he sent me to my people.

The Muslims are, like Catholics, born into their religion. And many will gladly hear the truth, and receive it. It takes time, with each one,... Years often, to win trust.
They are overwhelmed by "love your enemies", it breaks the ice.

Ittakes the Holy spirit to save them, to make the message of the Cross seem to be from God to them, as islam teaches them they are ONLY right religion, as Muhhammed was final and highest prophet sent from Allah, and that Allah wants to have whole world under Muslin religion, so they are taught to ty to convert by peaceful means first, but to convert by sword and terrorism if that fails!

in addition to being largest arab muslim group outside of middle east here in Mi, they have masde it known they consider Detroit to be mecca center here in USA!
