I recall years and years ago, a small group I was with, went through the book of Romans a chapter a night, with the help of a small booklet that gave key questions. The idea was that a small group could intelligently learn basic themes in each book by discussing these questions.

Does anyone know of this series? If I recall, the publishers made an entire series, with each booklet taking you through every chapter of a book in the Bible. I'd love to start up a small group and think this would be ideal.

    I may have your answer.

I have a few thin books that were part of a Sunday School curriculum series from 1988-1996.

On the front cover, it says "Bible Book Study for Adult Teachers"

There is also a circular insignia (logo?) that says "bible book series"

It was set to a 9 year plan. Matthew was two quarters (26 weeks), Hebrews an James together made one quarter - 8 weeks for Hebrews and 5 for James.

So it was really close to one chapter in each lesson. With study questions, etc.

Inside the back cover of Matthew (part 1), it says it was circulated by the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. The publication number is 132770 (don't know if that helps)

I honestly don't remember where I got them from. I was not a believer until after the series would have ended. I also don't know for sure how many issues I have. I went to the basement and dug a few out of a box when I read your post

Hmmm searching for the above series listed didn't give me anything that looked like what I'm looking for.

Man looks like I'm going to have to go into the big city and find an actual brick and mortar Christian book store. Google and amazon have let me down. :)

I seem to remember it was published by an evangelical house like IVP or something like that...

    Thanks anyways.

The non-denominational group I was with many years ago went through several booklets on Romans by Barnhouse. They are available now in a condensed set of 2,3, or 4.

If Google and Amazon haven't helped, I doubt a B&M store will. I've found SO much more online than I ever did in a store!

I'd love to know what books they are when you find out!

A large Christian bookstore might have it in stock. A large part of the problem is that this was so long ago that I've forgotten the title, author, or publisher, so searching is gonna be tough. If I could look through a lot of books in a store, I might be able to spot it.
