Jonathan Turley, a law professor at George Washington University, warned yesterday that President Obama’s increasing use of executive power has placed the nation at a “constitutional tipping point.”

“The fact that I happen to think the president is right on many of these policies does not alter the fact that I believe the means he is doing [it] is wrong,” Turley said, “and that this can be a dangerous change in our system. “

“Our system is changing in a very fundamental way,” he added. “And it’s changing without a whimper of regret or opposition.”

Turley is an Obama supporter but obviously cares more for the Constitution than does Obama and many in Congress!

If you want to get alarmed, read Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution, and consider how the Little Marxist Dictator could abuse that privilege.

Barry "O" 's empire is in LAME DUCK mode---nearing the end of his last term in office----why should he NOT use the Executive Order in order to finish us off???

Whats so aweful about his last term in office??? Here's whats aweful----we're gonna be paying him a retirement salary for the rest of his life!! If the pay ended when he leaves office---that wouldn't be half bad--but it doesn't!! And to know we're gonna have to endure seeing his image among the rest of the past presidents----------well--------:flower::flower:

So you don't believe in the constitution? Or perhaps only when it supports your point of view? Using the term "Little Marxist" is much like using the term "Christian Right." That movement is neither Christian nor is it right.

Absolutely I believe in the Constitution, though it is obvious the Little Marxist Dictator does not. He has usurped Congressional authority and rewritten duly passed legislation no less than 29 times, violating the Constitution in doing so. His executive orders exceed presidential authority, thus again violating the Constitution.
I suppose from the extreme leftist secular view mistakenly believing it stands firmly in faith, it doesn't look "Christian" or correct (as I'm taking you mean the term "right") but that's a matter of perspective, not fact.

The LMD has flaccidly acquiesced to Putin's invasion of a sovereign nation with not so much as a phone call to protest. His "threats" of "costs" are empty, meaningless and insincere. He is cooperating with the establishment of a neo-Soviet union while attempting to establish Marxist ideology in the U.S. government. The term "Little Marxist Dictator" is appropriate, given his obvious sociopolitical ideology, his weakening of the U.S. economy and military strength, and his hatred and disdain for the democratic process. So you can take your little critique, stuff it in your pipe and smoke it for all I care, because your pretty much relieving yourself into the wind.

I think the question is more along the lines of "Are we REALLY ready to commit to anything with respect to the Ukraine?"

Putin is a product of the cold war, and as we saw in the former Georgia SSR, he is not afraid to send in the troops and draw the proverbial line in the sand.

Have any of you ever seen The Fog of War? I think Robert McNamara says it best with his first lesson: "Empathize with your enemy." We need to understand what their thought process is before we decide to do anything with respect to escalating the situation in the Ukraine. Otherwise, I think it has the potential to get UGLY.

NOTE: This is not necessarily directed at you specifically, just replied to the last post. Regardless of whether I agree or disagree with you, your post was very well written.

This thread is not about the Ukraine. There is one already going on that issue.
