Homosexuals are now a politically protected victim group, about which it is verboten to say anything negative. And certain homonazis want Christians punished if they quote from the Bible against homosexual behavior. Indeed, 63-year-old Pastor Åke Green was jailed in Sweden for just that, because they have such a sodomofascist law restricting Christian freedom. Never mind that he offered the biblical encouragement that ‘[e]verybody can be set free and delivered.’ Moreover, he concluded his sermon with:
We cannot condemn these people — Jesus never did that either. He showed everyone He met deep respect for the person they were (…) Jesus never belittled anyone.
The assertion some make here that Sodom hates Christians simply because Christians are evil is a lie. And we know who the father of lies is.

Now your statement is false isn't it?
Islam is said to be the "masterpiece of Satan." It is the largest religion in the world, and growing rapidly. Why not take your zeal out against them instead of opening thread after thread on homosexuals. We have enough already. No more threads on homosexuality please!!

“This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.”

They hate Christians because they love the darkness rather than the Light. It is not that we stand against those people, but the sin – the “darkness” that they love – which is to them intolerable (as it was to us prior to salvation).

I don't think the gay rights movement is anti-Christian (or at last the most vocal ones are) because they hate Christians so much as they've been brainwashed and manipulated into the mindset in various ways. They're deceived, and they are people who need to be reached just as any other sinner.
I actually have a couple (non-Christian) friends who are gay. They're not hostile towards Christianity, even knowing my views.

gays have SAME rigts I have, and we cannot say it deprives them if rights to forbide them gay weddings/adoption/civil unions etc, as those are NOT 'rights!"

And all christians, at least genuine ones that know their bible rightly, see islam as big threat to us, but problem is many professing ones fail to see Homosexuality as sinful now though!

No one said they are "rights" -- in fact, we've gone out of our way to say the exact opposite, that they have no right to church sacraments or distinctives. Why do you keep saying stupid things like this when no one has stated they have such "rights" in church?
And yet again, you don't know what you're talking about. You equate anyone who doesn't join you in outright condemnation, rejection, and shunning of homosexuals as "affirming" them. That's just nuts, completely untrue. If everyone refused to deal with them on any level, they would never get the gospel, and I'm beginning to think that would suit you just fine.

    NO!

They are sinners like I was, who need to have the Lord save them, but point is that many within chrsitianity today see NO NEED for them to change their behavior once saved, as its now ok and acceptable!

NOT saying any here do, but MANY professing christians do indeed see homosexuality as no longer sinning, just alternative!

    So what???

If no one here is saying it, why even mention it?

It has nothing to do with the discussion!!

Continually mentioning it keeps the stuff stirred up, as emotionalism runs rampant and people see only what they want to see and respond without really reading what is being said. If no one on here is affirming homosexuality, stop making comments as though anyone here does!!! It is disingenuous, and muddies the waters.

I get emotional with anyone who keeps repeating the same error without listening to those who point out he's in error, off topic, engaging in logical fallacies, or whatever else distracts from an intelligent, reasoned, sane discussion.

It seems as if your views please them very much. No pervert claims to be a God hater until the truth crosses their path and then see how much hate they have.

No, not really. Most gay rights supporters don't treat me kindly when they find out what my views are. But, I don't shove it in their face, either, that helps. Most of the hostility has come in such as when on another site I made a "controversial"statement. Although they do sometimes respect that I don't see fit to make my beliefs a political thing.

My friends who are gay are aware of my views, and we simply choose to respect each other's views. I don't attempt to force them into Christianity (although they are aware of my faith), and they don't attempt to force me out of it. In fact a few gays, including one of my friends, has openly supported my statement that people have a RIGHT to oppose gay marriage politically and that it doesn't make them bad people. My one friend (acquaintance, really) because she has closer friends who don't approve of homosexuality but whom she still respects.

I'm well aware of how hostile the gay movement can be towards any opposition. My mother has received DEATH THREATS on Facebook over her views. (And site support didn't see a reason to ban the offenders.) When I rushed to her defense I was given the same verbal abuse, even though I never once stated my position.

But it's demeaning and insulting, IMO, to assume that all homosexuals and their supporters are this way. The most vocal ones, certainly. But let's be honest, generalizations are just that: generalizations. They don't describe everybody, perhaps not even a vast majority.

To be perfectly honest? There are things that make neither side very desirable, for me or anybody. On one hand we have emotionally unstable persons who would maim and kill those who dare express a different opinion, and on the other we have those claiming to be Christ followers who would rather accuse and shun sinners like they're worse than any other sinners than treating them like people and showing them the way to Christ.
I'm not saying that's you, mind. I don't know you from Adam, and I'm not going to make assumptions based on the tone of your posts. (Especially since the tone is so easily misunderstood and clouded by one's own perspective when reading it.)

I'm not looking to intentionally turn away the people I hope to reach. That'd wouldn't do much good or make for a very effective witness. So of course I treat them like I would anyone else. Of course I'm going to be friendly towards them. Of course I'm going to show them kindness. And if they still hate me? I'll turn the other cheek.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Every unsaved person is at enmity with God.
Until he is reconciled with God he harbors in his wicked heart a certain degree of hatred for the authority that God demands over his life.

    Close, but no cigar.

You spoke of perversion leading to God-hating when the truth is exposed.

Does that go for all the pastors and deacons and active male church members who are Christians and who are also in bondage to porn?

Porn is a perversion indeed and how many Christian men do YOU think haven't dealt with this sin because they haven't been confronted with it? Do you think they will be God-haters when the truth shines on their actions?

Yes, there are untold number of homosexuals who are God-haters and Christianity haters.

And there are lots that are not.

I had a lesbian couple in my Sunday School class about 25 years ago. I knew they were gay. They knew I knew. I told no one. One fellow member of the class did come to me and ask me what I thought. I told her and she agreed.

I felt that kicking them out of my class would be counterproductive. They needed to stay and hear the truth and hear it in love.

Early during the quarter or so that they were there, we had a lesson on homosexuality. I let the truth shine. I held nothing back. If they didn't know that homosexuality - both male and female - was an abomination to God after that lesson, they won't ever know.

I also taught that day that homosexuals can be freed and saved and can repent and that God loves them and does not want them to live in that manner.

One day, one woman came by herself. We talked a little after church about it and she mostly kept her head down. She said she understand what I was saying, but didn't say much else.

They kept coming for a few more months and then separated and one moved to Texas and one moved to another city in Louisiana.

They were exposed to the truth and did not hate God for it. Perhaps the separation came FROM hearing the truth in love - I don't know.

    Not all homosexuals are God-haters.

And there are plenty of people who have worn a hole in the seat cushion of the church pew over the past decades who ARE.

In the not to distant past, homosexual acts even carried with them the death penalty. In the nineteenth century a British sailor could be hung by the neck from a yard arm if convicted of homosexual acts. In many ways, the way society in general treated homosexual was wrong. We did not have to agree with their lifestyle but, to treat them with such hatred was wrong then and still is.

Now that they are getting some power they are simply returning the favor. Discrimination can work both ways. Try being a white Christian male in today's society. It's becoming open season! Meet the new whipping child of society. Move over homosexuals and meet the white Christian male.
Homosexuality is a perverted and destructive sin. And, within the church we are right to limit membership and leadership position to folks who are not actively involved in open and sinful lifestyles such as homosexuality, shacking up, and other perversions of God's intended purposes. But, to practice this type of discrimination out in the secular world puts us in danger of having the same type of discrimination dumped right back in our laps. The homosexual community is only giving back what was given to them.
    It isn't true.

    No.
When Zaac and Disconnected and C4K begin mitigating their crimes, I will.

Put a muzzle on Zaac and Disconnected, and you probably won't get any.

It sounds like they got better treatment than the slaves in America of the 18th and 19th centuries.
