I have a .mov file I want to shrink down to post to YouTube. However, my Wind7 Home won't let me open MovieMaker even though the program is installed on on it. Any ideas on:

    1. How to get MovieMaker to work?
    2. Another program (Freeware or Shareware)?

YOutube does have an option that lets you upload large files.

There are websites that will do the conversions; or you could use something like VLC (free).

You might go to control panel/programs and locate movie maker, see if there is a repair option.

Also you can go to Microsoft site and search for movie maker download or Live download and try reinstalling it.

    Have you tried this?:

    Click Start
    Click Computer
    Click C:\
    Click Folder Program Files (x86)
    Click Folder Microsoft Movie Maker
    Click wlsetup

Guys, I'm able to seemingly launch Moviemaker. The my machine comes back and says I don't have the resources.

Unfortunately, with video editing, it's not so much the RAM as it is the hard drive space. How much of your hard drive is available?
