Last night, after Baylor beat Creighton to be in the Sweet 16, Craig Sager asked Isaiah Austin what happened to turn the turn things around for Bears. Here is the answer --article from Fox Sports --

"Baylor coach Scott Drew stood outside the media interview room at the Ferrell Center collecting his thoughts. It was Feb. 4 and his team had just suffered its seventh loss in eight games, this one by 17 points to Kansas as part of a 2-8 start in Big 12 play.

Before Drew entered the room to answer questions about what wasn't working, why and what he could do to fix it after plummeting out of the top 10 of the polls, he saw Scott Brewer, one of the Bears' two team chaplains. Drew grabbed Brewer as he passed by in the hall.

"We may not win another game this year, and I may be a horrible coach," Drew told him, "but if any of these guys leave without knowing Christ, that will be the real loss."

After reading this, I'll be watching the sidelines for someone flapping their arms.

With that hint, people should be hitting it "in the outfield". Unless of course Norton and Williams collide and the catch is blown.

Thanks -- got it. Saw the movie 10 years ago.

Not sure if Baylor can get by Wisconsin, but hope their length and athleticism pays off -- as well as Brady Heslip's three pointers. If so, then they have a chance. Then they would have to play AZ to get to the final four. In any event, as the article said, this has been their most successful season ever.

BTW, the Lady Bears made the sweet 16 as well - a handful of universities had both the men's and women's teams make it this year.

The Badgers live by the three, and they die by the three. So did Creighton, and the Bears defensed them into a 5-for-24 night from outside the arc.
There's no doubt they are a more athletic team than Wisconsin, and I think Baylor's defense will prove too much for Wisconsin. The Big 10 and the Pac 12 are both grossly overrated. No way should Arizona have been a #1 seed. If they played in any other conference, they would have lost a half-dozen games. Look at Ohio State. Couldn't even begin to match up with Dayton, who had a more talented team the the Buckeyes. I picked Baylor to win that regional two weeks ago. They're a better team than anyone else in the bracket.
Don't know if they can win the women's tournament, though. Only teams have ever done that at any level. University of Central Missouri at the Division II level, and UConn in Division I. We'll see, though.

Hope you are correct. Would love for the Bears to win and make the Elite 8. For the women, it's a tough road ahead.

As a prospective Baylor student, I'd love for them to go as far as possible. On a humorous note, my grandma seems to think I have the agility and athleticism I had 12 years ago. She asked if I was gonna try and be a walk on for the team. I told her I'd try, lol.
