It was interesting to watch two different stories on news today, and yesterday, about two little girls and their plight for a positive solution to a problem they faced.

Please check out both stories and tell me which child was more "Selfless" than the other? I felt that one of the girls was definitely selfish and the other so unassuming and selfless! Do you see the difference, and can you tell which was which?

rd2, it's too early in the morning for me to make a call with regard to your question but both stories strike a heart felt cord in me.

It's a shame when little kids suffer from illness unto death or to have a father that's unavailable. Such a cruel world so full of sadness affecting our most innocent ones. The one is now in paradise and the other might grow up to die in her sins.

It's really hard to comprehend that men's souls are played with by the evil one. I'll be glad when it all over with. Even so, come Lord Jesus.

I can't take that poll and I'm not going to judge either little girl. I think both were just doing their best to be normal little girls and fight their very sad situations. The only thing that comes to my mind and heart is to hope someone shared the Gospel with each of them.

    I understand...

Still, I see one child asking for something that is breaking laws, Laws here dad chose to break, both by coming here without applying for the right and then driving without a license and doing that while under the influence.

I feel her motives were contrived, and that it was not here, per se, but probably a political group behind here, using her innocence to get illegal immigration unto the world stage.

The other child died with a selfish wish that her life and suffering to bring childhood cancer before the public in an effort to find funding to help end the disease that kills our kid's way too soon!

I just felt one kid, though maybe not by her own doing, was used selfishly, while the other was definitely selfless!

My point was not to put down Jersy, just to point out that the people who used her di so for ALL the wrong reasons!

No matter what many of my fellow BB family think, those who came to America without getting in the proper line to immigrate here, are breaking laws, and they did so at their own risk, knowing they could be aught and deported, and they never once seemed to consider their children.

This man did not have a license and he was driving drunk, probably also without any insurance, so, he broke at least four laws, and deserves what ever the courts decide. This entire event with the Pope before Obama visited him, was convoluted and disgraceful! Americans should be angry at the attempts to make this a tear jerker thing!

I say, if a parent came here knowing it was against our laws, they should not be getting the ear of the Pope nor the ear of the POTUS. Just sayin'! :type:

I just saw two little girls doing the best they could. Ten-year-olds don't know about politics and being used and all of those laws and so forth. The one little girl just wanted her Daddy back. Maybe someone used that politically, but I fail to see selfishness there. And the other girl apparently wanted to do good and have some fun before she died. I fail to see either motive as selfish, really, except that all kids--and adults--are selfish to one degree or another because of our sin nature.

RD2 - apples and oranges. The only similarity is that both girls took the initiative to do something about their situations.

You're going to fault a little girl for wanting her daddy to come home? She doesn't understand laws, immigration, illegal entry, etc. She just understands Daddy isn't where he should be. Get real! And I couldn't answer you poll either.

I'm actually faulting the political powers that be who used this child to send a message world wide! This is our country, and our laws were broken by this girls father. She may not understand, but the lesson she learned was that if you fly to Rome, beg the Pope to speak to the POTUS on her dad's behalf, good things happen! How do you think this child will remember this event in ten years or 20 or 30 years? I think she'll remember that she helped to get her dad released and some much needed sympathy!

This entire event was politically convoluted, and it should never have been allowed by the Pope of the POTUS, but they are both idiots, so nothing surprises me, and once again MAPA and the DNC used this to enhance their call for amnesty! I am disgusted, and the truth is, the majority of the world saw this like you! Which means this paid for political advertisement for breaking our laws and getting rewarded, winds, and this time it won on the smiling face of a ten year old. An innocent child, used for political gain!
