Stupid question. Of course Christians can, may and should run for public office.

    Sheesh.

Years ago they did. Catholics started doing the same and in some places nuns were hired to teach.

Looking back, I'd say the country is in a mess due to Christians leaving the public schools to the liberals/lost. Not pointing fingers - leaving the public system seemed great at the time.

Just left a beehive of educational muck to indoctrinate the masses.

One of our school board members is a friend of ours and a member of our church. I'm glad she's there!

Yes, I read it, and no I have no comments on it. I'm more concerned you thought it questionable.

There's really not much to say. Their mission statement is all I saw relevant to your question:
Sounds like a good idea to me. We need more Christian influence in secular venues, in my opinion.

Recd this Email - from the same souce as the OP

Have YOU or someone you know ever considered Serving on Your Local School Board?

Here’s what other Christians have said about their service on their local school board:

“The school district is the largest employer and most influential organization in our community. As a believer in Christ I felt obligated to being His love and light through the school doors.”
“I wanted to donate my time to public service in a forum where I felt the Lord could use me.”
“I did have the opportunity and responsibility to review all textbooks and put in a word for good family values.”
“I felt my personal Judeo-Christian ethics and morals were brought to life when we had opportunity to give some people a second chance.”
“I had influence in the consideration of Christmas music and celebrations. Our teachers as a group were given a green light in these areas.”

TLI Inc. can answer your questions and give you encouragement as you consider the possibility of becoming a school board candidate.

We are also available to come to your church to talk about public schools and your involvement.
