Some claim that Francis Chan writes self-help books. I have not read all his books but of those I have read I do not agree as the man writes on HELL, teaches Lordship Salvation, teaches Repentance and so forth. While not a flawless preacher, he is certainly not into self-help. Perhaps he wrote something or preached a sermon that would contrary what I did read, but I am not interested in arguments on who he had lunch with, associates with, and so forth, but only arguments from his own mouth.

However if you want self help check out this character whom claims to be a Christian.

PS- I will ignore and am NOT INTERESTED in third party blogging and YouTube sites as they are pure hearsay. I want direct arguments from the pen or mouth of the man. The man speaks with Piper, AL Mohler, and other respected leaders in the Reformed movement. From what I have heard from his mouth and pen he is the real deal. Third party bloggers & Social networking types often LIE, and EXAGGERATE to create followers.

Chan is the real deal and if he's into the self help thing, why does he seek to bring people to understand the greatness of God and the smallness of us? Why did he sell most of what he has to live small and help many? I think he's a great guy, a wonderful speaker and a man who's heart is fully sold out on God.

I've never heard anyone say Francis Chan is into "self-help." Considering he wrote an entire book about the literalness and eternality of hell, I have a hard time seeing him as the self-help kind of guy. He's also buddies with David Platt, who sure isn't a self-help guy by any stretch, and together they made and promote the "multiply" discipleship course. He's solid.

I'm curious, where/who did you hear this from?

Self help? Never heard Chan described that way. From my reading, I would say he could be called anything but self help. Who is calling him self help? Pen and mouth

A so called person on FaceBook who admins some groups on False teachers and he featured Chan. I tried to ask for an argument from his own books or sermons but I got nothing but attacking Blogs and YouTube videos that often speculate. The person was impossible to reason with on Chan and he then deleted my posts challenging his view on Chan.

Some character on FB and some of the blogs he linked too and YouTube videos. I deleted and ignored everything the person said as it is very obvious this man has an agenda. He is always fixated on false teachers and doctrines he is not healthy... He has attacked other hero's of mine but never from their own books, but always from what loser bloggers are saying.

I did. A friend told me to unfriend this person and leave his FB groups and I may if he continues his lying and then deleting my posts that challenge his lies and exaggerations.
