Ben Carson is absolutely right. The Left’s number one goal is to make people feel like a victim. You make people feel like victims by separating them into groups. In their mind, we aren’t all Americans on an equal playing field.

Everyone is nothing more than their race, gender, and socioeconomic status. They tell women there is a war against them. They tell minorities they are victims of “white privilege”, they tell poor people that rich people are the villains.

If everyone feels like a victim, they feel like they have no control. If they feel like they have no control, they vote for people who say the government will save them. That my friends, is liberalism 101.

It's how Absalom usurped the throne.

Anyone ever read the account of Absalom and not think of the Democrats?

We also have to remember that David refused to discipline his son in a meaningful way contributing to Absalom's rebellion. Too many are simply standing on the side line, watching "Dancing with the Stars," while our freedom is being stolen.

The United States destroying itself from within? Sounds like the warning Lincoln gave long ago - the address below also mentions "as long as the bible is read..." in a part of it. As if it was unthinkable that it would quit being read. That type of thinking today? It's history.

Lincoln's Lyceum Address: "At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide."

We also have to remember the words from Nathan:

9 Wherefore hast thou despised the word of Jehovah, to do that which is evil in his sight? thou hast smitten Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thy house, because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.
11 Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house; and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
12 For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun. 2 Sam 12

It'll be interesting to see how far he gets this next election cycle.

A highly educated, highly credentialed African-American man who is conservative will roil the press and confound the pundits. Whether he gets any press time will be interesting to see.

It will also be interesting to see how someone with a legitimate PhD does in debates with intellectual plebeians.

And whether or not the right wants to acknowledge it, he's popular withthe right because he's a conservative black person who they feel put Barack Obama and his Affordable Care Act in their place.

They want to juxtapose their idea of a good black candidate with the atrocity they believe to be Barack Obama.

This is more of the GOP being reactionary. Perhaps if the GOP would do something non-reactionary they would come across as genuine. But Ben Carson wouldn't do anything for the GOP cause to cut into those minority voting blocs.

Of the current cast of GOP "would be Presidents", not a single one can defeat the Democrat candidate because one of them would have to be extraordinary to move the growing table of liberals into the GOP column. And not a single one of them meetsthe criteria. And no it doesn't matter what happens during the midterm elections.

I'll say this: none of the current frontrunner, Caucasian male Republicans have a chance at beating any of the proposed Democratic candidates for President next election cycle.

Romney was a disaster that will impact their party for the two Presidential cycles.

I do believe that the GOP can beat the Democrats for the White House, but it cannot be the establishment candidate that they've run since Eisenhower and it cannot be a white male.

The midterms are important, if for no reason than they will allow the GOP to regain Congress. But they're the dumbest party in Washington and won't be able to use their position to help themselves for the White House.

Carson is intriguing, but he's Allan Keyes all over again. It's the burden the GOP has to bear. They refuse to validate non-establishment candidates. After this next presidential election, if they fail and if they run an establishment guy, they're done with Millennials for 20 years.

And they refuse to listen. Since Santorum and Ryan were the "runners-up" last time, they'd be the obvious choice since it's one of their turns. But they will be associated with Romney. But it's one of their turns so look for the establishment to push one of them.

If they've got any sense at all and want a shot, they will counter a probable Democrat Hillary candidacy with their own female candidate, but she needs to be Hispanic or Black and have nothing to do with the establishment.
