Could John the Baptist, Paul or Jesus lead a fundamental or evangelical church?

    What do you think? Not one of them, including Paul himself, meets the requirements laid down in the New Testament.

    Non-issue. Neither of these three would want to lead a church and yes, they do not meet the Biblical requirements.

    Specifically what scripture are you referring to?
    About a pastor must be the husband of one wife ?
    Which means a pastor could not be single?

    We are told in no uncertain terms why a pastor needs to be married. I would not attend a church with a single pastor.

    If that widower demonstrated that he ran his house in a Godly manner. I even believe if he eventually re-marries, he would still be qualified.

    "Pastor" is a spiritual gift, and there is not one single requirement in Scripture concerning this gift, it is given by God.

    Anyways, Jesus, Paul, and John the Baptist were all Jewish priests.

    Lots of us think J the B was a Nazarite, from youth. His vows would have prevented him from biblically pastoring a New Testament church.

    Paul was most definitely a Pharisee.
