By his own admission electricity costs will rise significantly because of the killing of the coal plants. This will put poor people and some middle class people in a difficult situation financially. It will hurt them.

Why does Obama want to hurt the poor and middle class?

Why does Obama hate the poor and middle class?

Would you rather have electricity go up some or increase the number 100,000 asthma attacks to 200,00 with the increase in medical costs?

He'd rather sit in his ivory tower and point the finger at President Obama for "waging war" while denying that the GOP is "waging war" against kids and fruits and vegetables.

Don't let the "concern" bother you CTB. There is no concern about the poor or the middle class coming out of New Mexico. It's been made clear that the real problem with the gentleman from New Mexico is his aversion to the color of President Obama's skin and so he must always find a way to attempt to beguile anything the man does.

I'm aware of he meaning of the word. And as it stands, many on here attempt to beguile others with what they believe the President has done or has not done. Just more politics.

I think you meant to say "belittle" and perhaps your spell check kicked in ? Because if not, I would say you aren't aware of the meaning of the word, in the least.

Many things cause asthma attacks. It's ignorant to raise costs for everyone to prevent one trigger for one medical issue and claim it helps.
Cold weather and pollen trigger asthma attacks for me. So does sunshine. More than 30 minutes without long sleeves on a cloudless day and I'm a wreck.
    Help me, Obama!
Taking out a single trigger for a medical condition with countless triggers is ridiculous.
To use it and claim you're saving children is pathetic.
It was a grab to further his attention and use sick children so people wouldn't be able to complain.

Reach into people's pockets and say "would you rather the poor little children suffer or me take this money out of your pocket?"

It's a tool being used far too often lately to garner sympathy for causes. They're going to grow up one day and that's their money too being taken away. Stop using kids as tools for political bonus points. It is sick.

This reminds me of all the movies where robots enslave mankind with the good intention of saving them from themselves. "I, Robot" anyone?

So "pockets" are more important than people. Good Republican position.

For me, I think people are more important.

Why do you hate poor people? Why do you want them to not be able to have electricity? What did they ever do to you?

Yes and I am sure you know how much medical expenses have risen in the last ten years. I would rather pay a bit more for the electricity I use than to incur greater medical expenses because I became ill from environmental pollution.

First it is not going to be a "bit more" in electricity costs. It will be a lot more. And that is on top of the already sky rocketing costs associated with obamacare.

Obama new the health care costs would skyrocket.

Obama new the electricity costs would skyrocket.

He knew it would hurt the poor.

    Therefore he hates the poor.

Oh, but he loves to trot them out and point to them as examples of why socialism needs to be instituted per his vision.

If you fear your medical expenses are suddenly going to rise simply because of things staying the same right now, you're being misled.
There are many legitimate concerns. Start your concern with legitimate things that cause harm to many while profiting a few.
For example, you seem very concerned with food consumption and the children. What about some of the food additives/chemicals and dyes? How are those harming the children and driving up medical expenses? Where is the outrage? Where is Obama? Where is his wife? Where are you? Why are you worried about one symptom of one already existing condition and willing for everyone to pay a lot more money for a basic thing, like electric, which may cause them to go without food, while the food itself is poisoned, when America is being mass exposed to this other stuff and costing everyone a lot more?

Why do you think I avoid almost all processed foods?

Food is pretty basic and so is breathing ... more basic then low electricity prices.

But this isn't about just you. It's about other people too. People who may not be able to afford to pay for other people's free insurance at the cost of not having their own insurance, people who can't pay higher electric costs, people who can't afford more natural foods.

Don't you care about those people, or would you rather they go without health care and electric and good food so you can have better quality things? (see, that isn't a nice argument, is it?)

The socialist's answer to that is more welfare. Of course they have to steal even more money from any producers left to provide for the poor their system helped create by driving more producers to the poor house by stealing from them to provide for the poor . . .

They'll all tell ya their heart is in the right place and your's isn't because you don't believe in stealing from some to give to others like they do.

Certainly I care about them and I realize that health is the most important aspect of any person's life, even more important than the profits of an electrical company.

"Electrical Companies" don't enjoy profits C.T.B.....

PEOPLE, REAL PEOPLE, with wives and children, who invest in them do. It usually includes teachers and fire-fighters.....

"Electrical Companies" don't laugh themselves all the way to the bank to cash their checks, the REAL HUMANS who invest their hard-earned money do. Often it's in the form of mutual funds, private 401k's and other retirement investments payed into by classes like Public school teachers, government workers, fire-fighters and cops and any private individuals with I.R.A's.

Liberals always speak of businesses as though they are abstractions that don't represent the investments of real people....usually simple middle-class people.

Failure to grasp that simple notion is why communism is idiotic, and communists and other collectivists, are idiots.
