Retire. It's not worth it, especially if you get the full pension.

IMO the military is one of the worst places for a Christian to work for a multitude of reasons. This just adds more crushing weight to the burden.

 

Retire if u can.

 

Might surprise you, given I served for 20 years myself, in a military that didn't tolerate aberrant behavior of any kind, LGBT or otherwise. Nonetheless, I say "Stick it out."

The agenda of the LGBTs is to drive out their opposition, silence objection, and force acceptance. As long as there is one man or woman who won't buckle, they lose. Besides, no matter how vocal and vulgar they get, they are still less than one percent of the population, and they really can't directly affect you on a daily basis unless you've got one in the next office or cubicle.

Pray for God's guidance, obviously, but if you don't have to stomach them directly, hang in there. Love them, tell them the truth, and represent Christ. Godspeed, Sola, whatever you decide to do.

 

You have my prayers and support. Regardless of these fairly trivial differences here, we are still of the same fold and folk and I praise you for your faithfulness in witnessing.

I'd recommend seeing what options you have to transfer into the private sector and then start making the move if that's your desire. Maybe you can move and start doing some additional education which seems to be a passion for you.

We need faithful Christians in all places, but it is difficult when those places are making nearly impossible to be faithful and true.

You're a fine Christian and wonderful thinker. I hope you find your calling and make this decision with discernment and wisdom.

You work in the world. Don't be surprised that the world acts like the world. Perhaps the LGBT types are flaunting their unrepentant sin because they see so many in the Baptist and evangelical church flaunting their sin?

If they are outside the church, be a beacon of light in the midst of it. It's not going away. Preach the Gospel and prayerfully some will be saved.

Just remember that this is the same government that okays the killing of babies, adults, and is okay with divorce.

 

I tend to disagree. Again, it's the world. Are we gonna retire from the world just because we think it's gotten too sinful?

Christians who want to see others saved and snatched from the fires need to become ecstatic about being in a place of darkness where they can shine some light.

What you do is a matter of conscience and I would support you, either way, as I see the argument for staying to be a good witness, but I also see the argument that the military is becoming increasingly hostile and onerous to the Christian.

Personally, if I had it to over again and I was faced with the option of enlisting today, I wouldn't, simply because I just don't trust the current CiC as far as I can throw him.

But, back to the issue at hand. We've certainly come a long way from the court-martial of Lt. Frederick Enslin, haven't we?
