    I have been diagnosed with a bulging disk in my neck between c-4 and c-5. Also I have inflamed muscles and tendons in both shoulders. I have not had specific injury. I have a hard time sleeping which creates other issues. Prayer appreciated.

    I prayed for you! Get yourself a body pillow. I have a heriated disc and other issues with my spine/neck from my car accident and let me tell you - with the body pillow, I sleep so much better and am not in so much pain!!! My friend who is a physical therapist specializing in neck and back injuries recommended this and I'm so glad she did. I wished you lived near me so you could see her! She's SO good with back issues!

    Man, this is going around!! We just prayed for 2 women in our church who are dealing with back issues (one has a bulging disc and the other is having back spasms). Crazy!

    Praying Rev! My daughter jumped on me yesterday and something popped in my lower back. I was paralyzed in pain on the floor for a half hour. I literally know your pain.

    You bet I have slept with one for years because of my previous herniated disks and fractured vertebrae years back. This is in my neck and causing some weird issues with my shoulders. I just cannot get comfortable at night. I mostly cat nap.

    Been there, had to go to the eroom. 10cc's of morphine and 7 cc's of valuem did not touch it.

    Ouch.

    I will keep this situation in prayer.

    Is physical therapy available for you? My mother is having significant back issues at the moment and physical therapy has greatly improved pain management and allowed her to sleep.

    That's good. It probably won't completely solve the problem, but it will likely give you some relief.

    Take care of yourself brother. Your family and congregation need you to be in good shape. It's tough to take care of the needs of others when you are in constant pain.
