If it isn't liquid then how is it water?

 

This would confirm Creationism if it were true.

 

I was thinking that too. Science once again proves the Bible true.

 

The sponge reference is the explanation. When a sponge is saturated, you don't see any water; same analogy here. A chemical process enacted on the ringwoodite would free the hydroxide molecules, allowing them to turn to a liquid or other state.

Considering the vast amount of potential water there, I would think it certainly gives validity to the term 'fountains of the deep':

11 In the six hundredth year of Noah`s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. Gen 7

2 the fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained; Gen 8

 

It relates to the fountains of the deep, doesn't it?

Genesis 1:7 (KJV) And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which [were] under the firmament from the waters which [were] above the firmament: and it was so.
