Is anyone else having problems posting? Getting an error message from the server?

As usual, your Op has nothing to do with your actual subject rd2.

Well that is because I tried to post a subject and kept getting an error message, and this is all that went through!

Try reading. I asked if anyone else if having a problem? Try reading and replying to the words written rather than being sarcastic!

I was on a hunting trip once in 1992. It was unforgettable. Let me tell you about it...

Seriously? We are now mocking a poster rather then answer a question? It is one thing to point out what you believe to be a problem in someone's behavior. It's something completely different to mock someone. As Christians we must watch the words we use and never use them to tear down but to build up. Where is the edification in the last couple of posts?

To answer the original question, no I have not had any errors.

    Thanks...

I do appreciate the response! I have no problem posting comments, but new topics is resulting in an error message, which is why I edited the OP. I hit submit, and all that came up were the smilely faces. I tried to report the topic and got an error message! So, I thought I'd add the question, and it allowed that. I appreciate your taking note to my concern and giving me an answer!

What I wanted to ask was ....

..... where has common sense gone? It seems that there has to be an end to how far we are willing to go when it comes to loving humanity. It is like having a budget, and even though we may feel within us the need to help everyone that comes to our dor with a need, the reality of a budget has to eventually guide how far we can take compassion!

This nation is not without limits. Yet the world seems to think it is able to give and give and give! Eventually someone with "Common Sense" has to say enough is enough, that is all we can do, with this budget. Come back next year and we'll see what we can do!

Americans with liberal humanity goals are like a rubberband, and they need to know we can only stretch that rubberband so far before it breaks!

I hoep that helps to answer your questions, and I hope it went through without an error message!

in politics there might be answer, but as Christians we need to ask ourselves how far Jesus; love for humanity went without breaking. How far did His elastic band of compassion stretch?

The civil government doesn't exist to show love. It exists to punish the evil doer and to praise them that do well.

There is no limit to Christian charity. When disbursed indiscriminately, it ceases to be Christian.

... or snaps back and hits us in the eye.

Seriously, ever done that? Hurts like crazy ...

I'm sure there's a lesson in there somewhere.

Common sense would be quickly realizing that this site has a setup error, a good hearted word filter of sorts that wasn't thought out all the way through, so if you post certain perfectly acceptable English words that are related to controversial subjects, the post will bomb with a server error.

So yes, one must ask, where has common sense gone to?

    Agreed....

    Yes, and yes it hurts.

And the following is not meant for you TND. I just refuse to directly address those who lack graciousness and Christ like hearts. After all, my mama once said, son, if you are going to play solitaire, don't play use a deck that is one card short of being a full deck!

I think I see where some are coming from when it comes to Christ and how far His Charity would extend, but we are not Christ, merely His representatives, and we are instructed to be good stewards with what we have, not over spend and extend credit beyond that which we can realistically pay back in a reasonable period of time.

In fact most churches would teach their members to not put anything on credit and to leave within their means.

The difference between Jesus and His ability to extend hospitality and charity and us, with limited means, is that He is God, and He can do things through the supernatural that we can't do.

We have been told to be good stewards, prudent and do things in moderation!

America has its budgetary limits, folks, wake up, smell the coffee, and quit drinking the kool aid!

Nailed it. I was having problems posting a response a couple of days ago and I started taking out words that could have caused the filter to kick in, like ............ and .......... and ....................... and my posts finally went through.

Ahem, and the correct phrase is "What has happened to common sense?"

    The problem is fixed...

Ahem, thanks for correcting my grammar.

As for the problem, it was a cyber problem. I use my nook from time to time and forgot to sign out of the board, which would not let me post new topics on the board from my laptop or desk PC. It has been fixed. The cyber space continues to mystify me and frustrate me as much as some of you guys do. Life has a way of turning the tables. You gys get frustrated with little old me, and it tends to be the same on my end

    How did you fix it?

I ask because I am signed into BB on my PC, my tablet and my phone and can post from all of them without needing to sign out on any of them.

That doesn't make any sense. If the board were coded in that manner it wouldn't have let you log in on the first place, much less post something eventually after changing the subject. You just tripped off the word filter.

But hey what do I know, I'm just a web developer.

You and ITL are correct. Like ITL, I can sign in on my PC, my phone, my tablet or anything else at the same time and still post.

After getting the error message, I figured it was a word filter and even went so far as to enter a long test post line by line to see if it was certain words tripping it.

It was. remove the words and everything posts.
