A setback for those seeking to end the unfairness of affirmative action

    The result of that "second look" is the exact same result as the first look. So SCOTUS accomplished nothing in trying to get the lower court to look at the case, so to speak, "with a different set of eyes." Quotas continue, affirmative action continues, despite the fact it punishes potential students who are better qualified for admission to an elite school than the minorities the policy protects.

    Yep. SCOTUS told them to "look again" ... now SCOTUS will look for them.

    This boggles my mind. I really don't understand how anyone can support affirmative action. It's bald-faced racism.

    Bah. "Benefit" my eye.... it's absurd. Affirmative action assumes that the "minorities" aren't intelligent enough or otherwise capable enough to be hired on their own so they need a little "benefit" to get them a job. Who's the racist here again?!

    EDIT: I realize that sounds like I didn't understand you were using sarcasm. I do, it's just its so absurd even sarcasm fails me.
