How Rude: I just wanted to live like them!

I just wanted the chance to LIVE like them!

Today, I drove by one of the most beautiful homes I've ever seen! It had many acres of open lush green grass, leading to the three-story mansion on top of the hill.

From my car, I could see a lot of people out by what looked to be a huge swimming area, cabanas and all, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves a lot!

There was a small parking lot just inside the private gate area, and I could see from the kind of cars parked in there, that the people in that house and their guests must be quite well to do!

I've seen this house before, but this was the first time I stopped to gaze upon its rich, elegant looks, and the longer I sat there the more I wanted to be part of what was going on up on the hill around the pool area!

The problem was, there was a ten-foot tall fence separating me from the smaller, fenced in, gated parking lot leading directly to the house. And while there was a gate that had one of those digital code thingabobs that would open the bigger gate to me, I didn't know the code. Still, I wanted badly to be part of the gang and maybe, if I pleaded with the owners of this fabulous home, they grant my wish to be adopted into their family and be a millionaire too?

I had to try, so I locked my car, and climbed the fence. It was not an easy climb, but it was going to be worth it; I just believed all would be okay once I got to the house and introduced myself and pled for leniency from the millionaire owners. I felt I had talents I could offer them, and if they'd accept me, I could maybe work in the huge number of flower areas, or maybe assist washing dishes and helping with shopping and cooking for them.

As I said the second automated gate was a few acres from the large fence I had to scale, and this smaller fence would be a cinch to the one I traversed at the street!

I hopped the fence and walked right up to the front door of this mansion, and rang the bell. A well attired butler answered and greeted me, and asked for my name. He checked the list on the iPod he held in his hand, and told me my name didn't appear. He asked how I got in the two automated gates, and I told him the truth ... I climbed the fences to get there. I went on to tell him that all I wanted to be was a millionaire, or adopted by this family or hired to have a chance to live in the plush comfort of this mansion!

He asked me to wait, and while he was gone, I too a few more minutes to observe all that was around me. I had finally got past the fences and I was standing at the door. My hopes were high, but then two men, dressed in security clothes came up from behind me and asked for my ID. I gave it to them, and they told me I'd have to leave or be arrested for trespassing!

I argued with them, and was sure they'd understand my long-time desire to be a part of this home, even if it meant working for a living while living here. They tried to escort me off the porch and back to the long winding driveway, but I resisted, demanding to talk to the owner. If he granted me an audience, I felt I may have a chance to stay and start living my l dream!

The one rent-a-cop got on the microphone and called the owners. It took a few more minutes, but they came out from the back side of the mansion, and they were still wet and drying off with towels. I smiled and told them my story, but the man, seemed eager to return to his guests, so he told the rent-a-cops to get me off their property.

With this shocking display of inhospitality, I stomped my feet and screamed that they couldn't do this. They owed me the opportunity to at least work for them. That is when the wife suggested that they consider hiring me on as a limo driver, and my hopes were once again soaring! But, her husband, an authoriative figure of a man, looked at here and shook his head no, as he ordered the rent-a-cops to call the local police to have me arrested for trespassing!

I ended up in jail for a few days, waiting for my trial before a real judge, but that went even worse, as the Judge told me that I could never again go beyond the fence or property line of those people, and he handed me a restraining order, and with a stern warning, my fine was waived, but I could no longer consider approaching that mansion! All I could do for the rest of my life, was drive by and think of what might have been had things only been different! Like being born into that family with a silver-spoon in my mouth! Or, at least, been smart enough to try to land a job there, through proper channels!

No! This is merely a story. I didn't even come close to doing such a thing ... but I wanted to make a point! Just because we want to be something that we're not, doesn't mean we can go against or violate the rights and laws of the people, living on the other side of the fence, to get what we may want!

And the sign said anybody caught trespassin' would be shot on sight
So I jumped on the fence and-a yelled at the house, "Hey! What gives you
    the right?"
"To put up a fence to keep me out or to keep mother nature in"
"If God was here he'd tell you to your face, Man, you're some kinda sinner"

    Sign, sign, everywhere a sign
Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind
Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign?

Someone I know very personally had a similar experience.
He was so poor that he had no car, his clothes were torn and dirty and he had no skills to offer and was deeply in debt; it was a heavy burden.
Still he longed for the freedom he saw in the mansion.
As he stood and gazed, the perimeter security guard stopped and spoke with him.
He told him how he could get rid of his burden; just go through the gate, the master will give you rest.

Since then, I've been living in his peace.

No this is not a political story but a spiritual opportunity.

You don't own the United States. The laws of the land make provision for the people to whom we ALL know you to be referring.

Your rights haven't been violated. And the laws of the people on this side of the fence makes provision even if they have broken the law to get across the fence. So get over it, start acting like Christ and quit with all the selfish bellyaching that ain't got nothing to do with anything but politics.

The legal process is at work and it says certain things must be done. So keep penning silly stories that are apples to oranges. All they do is continue to highlight the anger.

I am a taxpayer - that makes me part owner - also I vote!

When they are utilizing my tax money for illegal activities (ie welfare, ect) - my rights ARE being violated.

    Perfect example of bad laws.

When we come to Christ, we come on His terms, not ours

It makes you a resident. You have no say so as to who can or cannot enter the country.

How are your rights being violated? Is there some Constituitional guarantee that says that your tax dollars can only be allocated to do what you want to be done with them?

Still the law so get over it.

Well Christ got em here so they obviously came on His terms and not yours.

Why did I even try :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

Zaac is a perfect example of a liberal.

I would answer his so-called "reasons" but it would be a waste of time.

I will say this back in the 1800's Zaac would have supported slavery - since it was the law.

You are the ONLY poster that will take a perfectly good apple, drill a hole in it, put in a worm, and then bloviate about somebody choosing it.

I really feel sorry for you, as you seem to be a most miserable and bitter person to purposely choose to post where nothing, NOTHING, suits you politically!!:tear:

Again, nothing but foolishness. Banging your head because of nothing.

Don't peg me with your politics

Yes, I know . You've politically got your mind made up because of politics and nothing else enering the equation matters.

A lie straight from the devil. And you're still trying to compare apples and oranges.

Perhaps I'm the only poster that sees the pattern of wrong thinking coming from the lot of ya?

I feel sorry that you feel sorry for me. That's wasted sorrow because I'm in an elated mood most of the time. Yall the ones who always seem angry and miserable about everything because everything in your lives seems to thrive off your politics.

Barack Obama is the President of the United States. Your candidate of choice lost twice in a row. Get over it and let the anger go.

All that anger must make it awfully hard to share the Gospel. But that's never seemed to be very high on the list of priorties.

I know your are right .... but in all of us, is the still small glimmer of hope that maybe God will get through! That is the Christ like thing to do, which is also something we are all being accused of not practicing! :BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:

Sure, if you like the Communist Manifesto set to rhyme and music.

Of course, I liked the song when it came out. Too dumb to know the message. But I do now, and I know the lie told in the last verse:
And the sign said, "Everybody welcome. Come in, kneel down and pray"
But when they passed around the plate at the end of it all, I didn't have a penny to pay
So I got me a pen and a paper and I made up my own little sign
I said, "Thank you, Lord, for thinkin' 'bout me. I'm alive and doin' fine."

    Amen!
Whatever interpretation was meant, this is the best response.
