Why does the left always like to pontificate? Nancy Pelosi, denied communion by a Vatican court and selected by Planned Parenthood as the Margaret Sanger abortionist of the year, made this incredible statement this morning:

"I reference the conference of bishops statement in which they say baby Jesus was a refugee from violence. Let us not turn away these children and send them back into a burning building. That's the bishops, so we have to do this in a way that honors our values but also protects our border and does so in a way that the American people understand more clearly."

The statement ultimately was made by Pope Francis in June:

"Jesus was a refugee. He had to flee to save his life. He was a refugee," he affirmed.

However, Jesus had no intention of remaining in Egypt, as you know:

Matthew 2:15 (KJV) And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

One other thought about Pelosi's statement is that many people deny the slaughter of the innocents, saying that there is no evidence other than Scripture for such an event. It looks as if Pelosi is trying to have her cake and eat it too.

I am not sure that the flight into Egypt can be classified as a refugee case because the Holy Family had financial means to pay their own way. They did not have to rely on Egypt for assistance of any kind.

Do you think that the Infant Jesus was a refugee?

For a minute there after reading the title, I thought somebody had ordained that woman.

As Christians, we do need to that which honors Christ when it comes to aliens in a foreign land.

But Nancy Pelosi has also repeatedly shown her motivations to be less than Christ-honoring and I wouldn't trust her any farther than Ruth Bader Ginsburg could throw her.

Her actions continue to be very, very wicked.

The evangelical church needs to increase its presence and let it be known that even though they have illegally entered the country, we're gonna love on them and treat them with the love of Christ while letting the government decide what it is going to do.

Yea Satan isused scripture, intentionally, in order to further his agenda as well. Politicizing the word of God is a nothing knew for her.

Rev. Mitchell, tell me your opinion here. I am having trouble believing that God Almighty was really ever a refugee in the strict sense of the word. What do you think?

I'll answer. Yes, Jesus was a refugee, and a true refugee. The children being brought into the the US through Mexico are being exploited to further a Marxist agenda. They are not refugees. It's time to go to war with Mexico.

Jesus was a refugee, yes. A refugee is someone who is forced to flee their country in escape war, exploitation, or persecution.

    He certainly qualified.

But are the children at our borders true refugees? I doubt it.

Border Patrol agents report many look 24. Some even have gray hair. But someone has coached them to claim they are 17.

Federal Regulation 8 CFR § 208.13 (b) (1): “An applicant shall be found to be a refugee on the basis of past persecution if the applicant can establish that he or she has suffered persecution in the past in the applicant's country of nationality or, if stateless, in his or her country of last habitual residence, on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion ... " [Emphasis added]

Much is made of the fact that these "children" face "poverty and/or violence" -- but the above regulation doesn't cover that. If it were a true qualification for qualifying a person as a refugee for seeking asylum, the kids of Chicago would all qualify, and should immediately march north to the Canadian border.

There are other qualifiers in the regulations which disqualify these "children" from refugee statues. One is having the opportunity to move to another part of their country. They have that ability. The nations they come from are not embroiled in all-out war. In fact, much of what the Border Patrol is discovering about the "violence" they do face is nothing more than bullying. Surely that can be dealt with by the families without sending a kid 2,000 miles on a dangerous journey to our southern doorstep?

As has already been said, many of these "children" are adult gang members, tatted up with all the gang logos and signs they've been able to afford over their young -- but still adult -- lives. They aren't coming here to escape violence, poverty, discrimination. They're coming here for greed -- they're going to deal drugs. And they know full well they are going to be quarantined for a few days while they undergo a medical checkup, and then most will be released onto the streets. Which is exactly where they want to be.

This is how Obama is changing America. :BangHead:

Pelosi did two things that the left must have found disgusting. She affirmed that there was a slaughter of the innocents, which the left says that there is no historical evidence to support Scripture and therefore it probably is not true.

Secondly, Pelosi said that Jesus was a refugee, echoing the Pope, to whom she is probably flattering in the hopes of someday having the Vatican court decision against her overturned, and her statement points again to Scripture that Joseph, Mary, and the Infant Jesus fled to Egypt. This also is denied by the left as lacking historical proof.

The left constantly reaches for Christian teachings to prop up leftist political notions, saying that this is what you people believe so why aren't you supporting me politically. In this case the left orchestrated the people at the border and then called for humanitarian help in the name of Jesus. But their idea is to register Democrat voters.

I am not sure what the exact Islamic position is on Jesus in Egypt--does anyone know the answer to what Islam teaches about Jesus in Egypt?

Heretical, just like everything else they believe. Jesus in the Qur'an - Muslims Receive a False View

Thanks! That is a good source. It says that Jesus was born in the desert under a palm tree. It does not really mention Egypt but the gnostic gospel that it was taken from does suggest Egypt. I am thinking that Islam denies that Jesus was ever in Egypt.

What do you think? I am guessing that Pelosi insulted Islam with the suggestion that Jesus was a refugee, pointing to the Gospel that places Jesus in Egypt. I am thinking that the Arabs do not believe that Jesus was ever in Egypt.

    .
My guess is Nancy Pelosi is too stupid to know she insulted Islam, but yes, she probably did.

Once I learned that they don't even regard Jesus as anything but human, I dismissed them as completely devoid of truth, and that was before I became a Christian. I myself knew He was God. I just didn't know what to do with that knowledge. Or even if I should do anything. Thankfully, He pointed out to me I needed to do something with it.
