Public opinion in Israel is solidly against ending Operation Protective Edge in the Gaza Strip, according to a poll released Sunday.

The poll was conducted by pollster Mina Tzemach among 504 respondents, a representative sample of the Hebrew-speaking Israeli adult population. It was sponsored by strategist Roni Rimon, who once worked with Likud and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, but who insisted he took it at his own initiative.

    Really?

Here’s a very important set of facts about the Revolutionary War that every person who would call themselves an American should know.

During the Revolutionary War, only THREE percent of the people actually fought against Great Britain.

Only TEN percent of the citizens actively supported that three percent.

Approximately TWENTY percent considered themselves to be on the side of the Revolution, but they did not actively participate.

Towards the climatic end of the war, approximately THIRTY percent actually fought on the side of the British.

The rest of the citizens had no disposition either way. They didn’t care. They didn’t want anything to do with what they deemed to simply be a political issue.

You being a preacher and all should understand more than most that great things come from small beginnings.

Well gee Rev now that you put it that way I guess Israel should just go ahead and kill all the "human shields" to get to the terrorists.

I mean after all Israel is only defending itself from the terrorists. Right? Doesn't take a genius to figure out any terrorist with half a brain would rather hide in schools and hospitals instead of tunnels when the bombs are falling from the sky.

Yes, they should attack the very area where the bombs and terrorists are.

Guess that went right over your head huh? Think about it.

I reckon the Israeli's line of reasoning "they're all terrorists" makes it quite a bit easier for you to keep using your own line of reasoning eh?

    Oh yeah . . . http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=94580

    Have you found it yet?

Given that Israel warns them that they are bombing I would say the best thing to do is to not be there when the bombs come. Which is far more than I would do.

Israel is losing its grip on evangelical Christians

Younger generation open to Palestinian side of conflict.

Support for Israel is weakening among evangelical Christians, prompting a new struggle for the hearts and minds of younger members of America’s largest pro-Israel demographic group.

While hard numbers are not available, evangelical leaders on both sides of the divide on Israel agree that members of the millennial generation do not share their parents’ passion for the Jewish state; many are seeking some form of evenhandedness when approaching the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“What is happening is that the hard line of Christian Zionists was not successfully passed forward to the next generation, because it was based on theological themes that are now being questioned by younger evangelicals,” said David Gushee, professor of Christian ethics and director of the Center for Theology and Public Life at Mercer University in Atlanta.

Hmmm, maybe the hardline is doing more harm than good?
