Colorado lawmakers and interfaith leaders calling for compassionate response to refugee children from Central America.

“How we would welcome children, not meet them with police, not meet with soldiers, but meet with mothers and fathers, compassion and love, I know that’s who we are,” said Denver Ministerial Alliance spokesman Patrick Demmer.

Why does this not surprise me?

Typical, hippie, pot smoking response! And the gang member teens would feel right at home? Maybe this would be a nice gesture, but did they say where that taxes will come from? Oh, wait their tax base is up from pot sales.....case solved....they can probably handle the cost to education, welfare, Obamacare, etc. And there will be an added financial burden!

RD2, do you think most people in Colorado are pot smoking hippies?

I don't think Demmer is a pot-smoker, but he's definitely a Kool-Aid drinker. He was the driving force in getting Colorado's milquetoast-in-chief, John Hickenlooper, to delay indefinitely the execution of the "Chuck E. Cheese" mass murderer, Nathan Dunlop.

Demmer is a black pastor who has turned his calling into a political agenda. He ignores -- as RD2 so rightly pointed out -- the fact that children are just a faction among the multitude of illegals flooding across the Rio Grande. The horde also includes gang members, drug cartel members, probably terrorists as well, given the number of prayer rugs and Qur'ans found abandoned on Texas ranches over the years. If Demmer wants to take care of the children, he can get off his butt and go to Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and meet them at the border -- just like a multitude of churches in the region are doing without fanfare or media notices!

If you think it's a good idea, Maggie, how many have you personally taken it?
