    Has he made it worse?

Arguably so. Ever since he has been in office, one thing has been a constant under his lack of leadership. He divides.

He has tried to keep us divided economically, constantly pitting the rich against the poor. Resentment of the "rich" by the "poor" existed before him. By attempting to use that resentment to further his political agenda, he made it worse.

Racially, he made a simmering resentment even worse. He and his party have blamed "racism" for his every failure. They have sought to use the charge of racism to curb any disagreement with his policies.

On other occasions, when the president waded in on racial situations, he did so quickly without all the facts and made a fool of himself and his administration.

His justice department, led by another black man, has refused to enforce civil rights laws against black people. That kind of unequal law enforcement has made some militant blacks believe they are immune from prosecution. Some of those rabble rousers may be at work in Ferguson, Missouri. If they are not there personally, the spirit of the justice departments refusal to enforce the law certainly is.

Sadly, our first black president has failed us in so many ways. Racially, most of all. It may take decades to undo the damage he has done to the fabric of our society.

Black rabble rousers that are immune from prosecution show up in Ferguson.

A lawless president leads to a lawless citizenry.

For many he made it worse simply because he is not White.

    Actually ...

Obama could have been different black leader and not going the way of typical blacks by copping the "victim."

This thread is appalling. It is so embarassing to see racism alive and well on a Christian message board. IS THERE ABSOLUTELY NO ONE MODERATING THIS STUFF!

Evidence of the above is showing up on now.

    Pathetic.

I'm curious, do you mind pinpointing exactly where and what it is so far in this thread that offends you and that you consider to be racist or hateful?

For the most part I appreciate the moderator's not interfering with or stifling FREE SPEECH.

    Sure, how how about this.

"going the way of typical blacks by copping the "victim."

If nobody thinks that is racist would they feel comfortable casually dropping that little pharase into a conversation with black person. If we are answering honestly, I highly doubt it.

Trivialize it all you want. White people that don't live or experience racism love to casually dismiss things like this as not a big deal.

If I have to explain to you how and why that is racist then I think there is no hope for this board. I've gotten a pretty bad vibe about this place whenever the issues of race come about. I would think that on a Christian message board we probably shouldn't say things that our minority Christian brothers would make them feel unwelcome. I am honestly flabbergasted that I have to somehow hand hold people through such obvious racial drivel.

See above for a prime example.

Do you dispute that race relations are worse now than when Obama took office?

Do you believe he bears no responsibility for it?

Or are you just another leftist that likes to play the race card to avoid discussing it at all and uses it to squash discussing Obama's failure as a president?

Are you just a coward when it comes to discussing race?

If it offends you so greatly and you want moderation imposed by the admin, then report the post. But you should at least advise the poster up front that you are going to report it; you don't want to be a covert tattler like some others around here do you?

I have no race card to play. I am a white male. The fact that you want to go after me for being a "lefty" all the while ignoring and excusing the racist comment is very telling about you. Do you have any black people in your church Reverand? Would you be comfortable saying what righteousdude2 said to your congregation?

By the way I can't argue with carpro rants because that is all they are. Rants. They are never grounded in anything but hatred and vitriol. I'm not going down the rabbit hole with him when he tries to change the subject. It is obnoxious.

Hey look at everyone running away as fast as they can from a serious conversation about racism. What a surprise. At this point I'm not going to deal with you on this matter, I'm not going to go down the rabbit hole with Carpro either or even bother with the good Reverend Mitch because he doesn't return to threads he posts in anyway. He likes to fire off about six threads and hide when the conversation gets serious. I am going to hold righteousdude2 accountable for that statement.

You know what righteousdude2. Post reported. Consider that your heads up for whatever that is worth.

To me UoT, the real question is whether it's true or not, not if it may hurt someone's lil' feelins' being carried around in their hands.

12 One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, idle gluttons.
13 This testimony is true. For which cause reprove them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, Titus 1

Like I said, the real issue should be the validity of the statement.

Using the term "serious" to characterize ones posts does not cover up the sophomoric and contentious spirit with which a particular johnny-come-lately has engaged in from his very first post on this board. So what he does is then continues to attack those who do not want to engage him because he cannot get anyone to play his little game otherwise. Someone needs to learn word defintions.

"Serious" does not mean "personal attack". But you knowone must work to change the character of their behavior in order to feel better about it.

And it is not the job of anyone on this board to hold anyone accountable for anything. Who do you think you are? How arrogant.

There is a word for that kind of behavior anyone know what it is?
