When is a ransom for an American not the same as a trade?

When your name is Bergdahl - not - Foley. Strange that we will trade five high ranking terrorists for an AWOL soldier [who deserted], but not exchange monetary assets for journalist James Foley. What a bunch of bogus spin.

What say you? Is a trade for a soldier not the same as a financial transaction? They both would have resulted in the same thing: a life saved. Both times America negotiated with terrorists?

    Which should never happen.

We have had that policy for good reason, until the islamic terrorist sympathizer broke it.
