Lately I have been witnessing to two Hollywood actors. One used to play in action films and my million dollar bill tract is lord willing getting him to think.

The other person promoted much New Age and astrology nonsense. I write her up and they got back to me and said it's all just my opinion. I then wrote back and used some analogies and examples of bad logic because having an opinion does not make it fact. I have an opinion that fire is not hot and won't burn but it's not a fact.

So when someone tells you that's just your opinion open the scripture and give them what Gods word says as I did and it will silence them.

Or they may have gone silent because they don't wish to communicate with you anymore.

I've been working with a gentleman for about 15 years now; he is a new-age agnostic/atheist.
    I consider him a friend.
He won't be persuaded by hokey science.
He wants tangible proof of things before he will believe it.

I've verbally witnessed to him many, many times over the years.
    He's heard the gospel.
I've heard patient's witness to him as well.
What I say is my opinion, nothing more. Other people believe stuff too - that's their opinion.
And I can't prove it. I can't show him writing in the sky. I can't prove God exists.

So my daily witness is what I do; my work ethic, my attitude towards others ...
...yet he has the same attitude, the same work ethic, the same care.

I listen to what he says even if I don't agree with him.
I'm not looking to silence him; he has taught me many things.

But someday I pray that he will see God. I pray that God will open his closed eyes to see.

His dad died a while back in his mid-nineties. He had Alzheimer's disease and couldn't remember anything outside of the present.
His dad scratched off a lottery ticket, looked up and said, "Hey, I think I gotta winner!", closed his eyes and died.

My friend's only hope is that he will not die of Alzheimer's.

I spoke to my friend about HOPE.
Hope is something I have that he doesn't have.

It gives my friend something to think about.
Please pray that God will open his eyes and ears to the good news.

My advise, listen to them and show them you care about them and pray that God will work in their lives.

    Rob

Don't get bogged down in the things so easy to disagree upon that aren't the main thing.

The main thing is the Gospel--God (creator), Man (sinner), Christ (Savior), and our necessary response. Stick with the main thing.

What's more you can always confront anyone with the empty tomb.

    Blessings,

    The Archangel

We live in a day of relativism where people do not care. Sometimes its wise to use apologetic arguments in what we might call Pre-evaneglism. This is helpful for those that claim no absolute truth. What it usually does is backs them in a corner and they can't respond. People these days usually regurgitate what they have been taught but what they do not think about. Also remember that Reason is dying in our day of relativism.

Honestly, evangelist, I've never known anyone who began a walk with God because they were "back[ed] into a corner." No offense, but your account of your style in some of these cases seems a bit abrasive. (I should know, I'm often told that I'm too blunt in conversation, but I don't like beating around the bush.)

Evan, sometimes it seems like you just want to win an argument instead of evangelizing with a heart for lost souls.

The puritans were blunt and so was Jesus whom preached on Hell more than Heaven. It's just people these days think everything is about them and modern evangelism methods follows the trend in 2 Timothy 3 about people being lovers of themselves in the last days. Modern evangelism appeals to the flesh but Biblical evangelism appeals to the holiness of God.

No I have never harassed anyone and those that tell me to leave them alone I back off. However I make it quite clear in my conversations that people are separated from a Holy God due to their sin and will spend eternity in Hell without Christ. You see I see the oncoming train and all the people on the railroad whom will soon be dead and spend eternity in Hell. Jesus often preached on Hell and made things very clear. I follow his example that so many ignore and only focus on Gods love but avoid his judgment and justice. Reading a book at this time by some unknown Reformed pastor in Scotland on the subject of Hell. He is bombing it and suggests radical evangelism in response!!!! Amen!!!

False. I want to help bring people to faith. If I just wanted to win arguments I would not be reasoning with this Catholic.

However there have been times when I just wanted to win arguments and got mean spirited. I grow as time progresses
