Made for an awkward few seconds for everyone else on the panel. I don't think it took away from the main point: a very capable fighter pilot took it to the bad guys. The twist being the woman piloting the multi-million dollar aircraft would not be allowed to drive a $200 Skoda if the enemy had their way.

Yeah, he thought he was making a clever play on words and it was clever, it just didn’t fit with the report being made. Ergo, he shouldn’t have said it on the air. He wasn’t attacking al-Mansouri or trying to diminish her credibility – he made a pun about “boots on the ground” that was juvenile and more for frat-boy crowd.

It should not have been said.

But goodness gracious, at least he didn’t publicly and cruelly call her a “right wing sl*t” or call for a “bimbo alert”. That’s Ed Schultz’s radio schtick against popular and vocal conservative women.

And goodness gracious, at least he didn’t claim on the air that she should have “been aborted by her parents" because he finds her opinions disagreeable. At least he didn’t call her a “mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick”. At least he didn’t CALL her a “boob – and a fake boob, at that” on the air. Keith Olbermann’s – from MSNBC – that’s his way of expressing himself about conservative women who have opposite political viewpoints as his.

And goodness gracious, at least he didn’t call her “bat sh*t crazy” or refer to his imagining her performing sexual acts on men (I can’t use the exact phrase here at the BB) or make fun her of body parts or refer to her “crazy female hormones”. That’s Matt Taibbi’s , the left-wing political blogger’s style when referring to conservative women and even liberal ones.

Goodness gracious, at least he didn’t call her a “dumb twat” or use the c-word against her on the air. At least he didn’t make a joke about her using a sex toy on herself or use the word "t*ts" to describe her body. That’s Bill Maher’s way of trash talking female Republican politicians.

And then there’s Chris Matthews. Enough said.

So, Eric Bolling made a stupid pun on air. It’s true, he shouldn’t have said it. I wished he hadn’t. But it wasn’t hate speech. It was just dumb.

What he said can’t compare to the hate-speech against women from the above liberal men.

If any of these things and more were said on the air about liberal women – I can’t imagine the carnage that would take place.

Can you imagine if a conservative man called Michelle Obama the c-word on the air? Or made reference to her using a sex toy on herself? Or called Hillary Clinton a “left-wing sl*t? Or suggested that one of these women should have been aborted by their parents because he disagreed with their opinions?

These guys wouldn’t have jobs anymore and would probably be charge with hate crimes.

Why doesn’t the left take their own hate-speech filled liberal radio and TV hosts to task?

I’ve always wondered that. Yes, the right has to deal with sexist idiots like Rush Limbaugh, but the left has FAR bigger and far crueler men that never get called out on their hateful ramblings.

Goodness gracious - when you look at the big picture, it sort of puts it in perspective.

What the? Yeah, I didn't post this so we could play the ever so popular game of "but they do it too." What do you want me to say? People are going to say dumb things in political discourse. I don't have time to keep score. I posted this to air out an idiot and his buddy making sexists comments on the news. This was recent and topical. Nothing more, nothing less.

The Fox Five is a comedy-type show which comments on the news. It is not a news show.

Thanks. Does that somehow make it better? I mean his own female cohosts looked absolutely disgusted.

What a Fox News spokesman said something stupid? I'm shocked, said no one ever.
