Psalm 107:31 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders. 33 He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground; 34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

When I think of the drought in the west and the many forest fires, I cannot help but see His hand as punishing the nation for becoming more wicked as time goes by.

Makes me wonder when all the states legalize same sex marriage, if that supervolcano forming at Yellowstone isn't the kicker for raining down fire & brimstone on the nation after the pre tribulational rapture event.

Let's face it, there is a fiery judgment coming on the earth that will burn up 1/3 rd of the earth and men.

2 Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

    Jesus gave a warning to believers as His disciples to be always ready with His help to avoid being left behind when He sends fire on the earth;

Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. 41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?....45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; 46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. 47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. 49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

More clues that a fire will proceed the coming of the great tribulation.

When you read Revelations 18th chapter, you see judgment on Babylon.

You may see WHEN that judgment is coming by His grace & by His help.

Revelations 14: 6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. 8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

After the pre tribulational rapture event, by the first angel, every one will know the gospel; then the fiery judgment as the second angel will inform the whole world; and then the third angel giving the warning to every one that receives the mark of the beast will be cast into the lake of fire.

This sets up the hour of trial that shall try all upon the earth as the destruction of the entire Western Hemisphere is how 1/3rd of the earth gets burned up for the rest of the world and her armies to be there at the valley of Armegeddon in prophesy at the end of the great tribulation. This fire is the catalyst for the NWO and the world's false claim of necessity to have the mark of the beast system in place for survival for the rest of the world in allocating resources.

The supervolcano at Yellowstone will not be alone for raining judgment on the earth. It is foreseeable that because of the plagues in the USA, the rest of the world may very well launch nukes to contain as well as cut off the western hemisphere of people trying to escape or of people on the outside thinking about coming to the rescue.

This is why I do not agree with the "Left Behind" series on the USA being around for the great tribulation.

I also believe that there will be no "Tribulation Force" as "romantic" as they like that to be of saints having a fighting chance and able to war against the son of perdition.

Revelations 13:9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Revelations 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

That is why Jesus is returning as King of kings with the raptured saints to deal with Satan & his armies Himself. Vengeance will be His.

Just as vengeance will be His on the nations that forget God.

Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever. 19 Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight. 20 Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

Signs of the times before that fiery judgment on the earth would have Him lifting our heads up on high.

Luke 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

I would say that the drought & the forest fires in the west are current events and are evidence of God at work in judging the wickedness of this nation.

Psalm 107:33 He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground; 34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

I had expounded on it for what was coming on the earth.

Do you know the mind of God on the forest fires? Pat Robertson? Be careful not to be odd for God.

I understand, but the west is having a drought and alot of forest fires as a result, more than usual, other than just being a regular event in the latter decade.

Same thing as being one of the signs of the times when one may see that He is at the door.

I would believe God had been blessing this nation with prosperity, and now God is removing that prosperity as the result of the wickedness of this nation.

It would be debatable as to what God is judging this nation for as many wouldsay it is because of more states are legalizing same sex marriages whereas others would see the judgment for messing with Israel in favour of the enemy in the name of "peace" when her enemies do not really care for "peace". Some may say both. No one can really say neither because His words says He is responsible for the the way nature is in the land.

So it is true that we may not know for sure for what God is judging the nation for, but in according to His words, He is judging this nation for something, and it doesn't have to look far to see what for in according to His words as it is a nation that is forgetting God.

This should be titled: Judged! Now we face the consequences of drop kicking God from America.

Are other arid regions around the world the result of Divine Judgement? I may be off in my thinking, but it seems like it is just nature. I think that it it more noticeable and aggravated by human settlement and population density.

So the previous times when there were droughts and fires, those just happened BUT these fires and this drought, they are God's judgment?

Very Old Testament to think of rains as evidence of Gods approval and/or blessing.

You shouldn't be so quick to ascribe God's judgment to certain events. Best I can tell, not a single one of us truly knows the mind of God, so to try and say the God is executing judgment through a certain act is nothing more than an assumption at best.

The final judgment on the nation called USA from God will be given at the pre tribulational rapture event.

I would say He is currently judging as warning this nation of what is to come unless this nation repent, but with science & the media rationalizing what is happening in nature, then the nation will not see it that way.

Could be. Are not communist countries covetous for land & resources?

You would not be alone in that thinking since we are influenced by science and the media.

    But then again....

Psalm 107:33 He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground; 34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

Matthew 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

As a woman in labour, so will the signs be of His coming? Since God is coming to judge His House first, think the signs are for those that believe to prepare themselves to leave when the Bridegroom comes?

Can we say that there are more earthquakes now than ever? Can we say that there are more forest fires this year than any year prior?

How does that apply towards prophesy yet to come? How does God's judging the world as times goes by to be different because of the New Testament?

Psalm 107:33 He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground; 34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

Are we to apply His words or not?

Psalm 107:33 He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground; 34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

    Is this true or not?

Since His words are true, then take a step back and look around.

    Hark - Consider this scripture:
Jesus was confronted with people who were seeking to attribute conditions that never existed in the first place to a situation that was already in the past. They seemed to hold a belief that the people who died in the collapse of the tower of Siloam were somehow greater sinners than others to deserve such a fate.

Jesus warned them that all people were/are sinners, and that all stand in need of repentance. I'm not saying ignore the scripture. I'm just saying that it is not for us to say that any particular event is a part of God's judgement. We don't know if any event is part of God's judgment. The best we can do is pray for a fellow man. Remember, when it rains, the rain falls upon the just and the unjust. Good people aren't the only one's who get rain on their crops.

    I hope that makes sense.

Assuming it is correct, it is only in recorded history... which is relatively short.

A total misapplication of verses out of context. Where does it say this applies to 21st Century USA?

Well over 75% of forest fires are man-made. I don't see how that could be considered a judgment from God. Furthermore, if we were to take your logic and transfer it to another arena, does the absence of hurricanes mean God is pleased with us?

This year's Atlantic hurricane season is shaping up to be one of the weakest in decades with only five named storms in the region so far this year. That is the fewest named storms since the full Atlantic season of 1983, when there were four. The 1994 season also had only five named storms into October, then two hurricanes formed in early November of that year.
