Bill O'Reilly, always eager to show his ignorance of theology, recently endorsed Transcendental Meditation, a form of Hinduism watered down and brought to the USA by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. O'Reilly says that TM may be used to "calm down" impoverished young males.

This adds to O'Reilly's departure from Catholicism on the subjects of his endorsement of same-sex or sodomite marriage as well as his endorsement of the abolition of capital punishment.

Now he has endorsed Transcendental Mediation. Hopefully, he will be excommunicated.

Here is the 1 minute 25 second video from his tv show:

Pelosi Plousy has been denied communion by a Vatican court but she probably owns her own parish.

I was thinking that New Jersey once ruled that TM is a religion--do you recall?

At any rate, can you imagine Bill O'Reilly advocating TM devil worship for small boys?

Ahhhh.......who really pays attention to him anyway. And most RC's in NJ are the ones who poke the most fun of the church...tons of homosexual priest & nun jokes to go around......but they stay in their church none-the-less.

Okay, but I still think it is sick to pawn TM off on boys, who are under attack anyway.

But do you, EWF, remember this:

Transcendental Meditation was ruled a religion by the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, Docket No. 76-341 (H.C.M.) Civil Action, in the case of Alan B. Malnak. et al., Plaintiffs, v. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, et al., Defendants, in a summary judgment issued October 19, 1977, followed by an order and judgment, filed December 12, 1977.

He is a liberally loose Catholic. His book on Killing Jesus is an example of a universal leaning Catholic.

Tell me more. The only book of his that I have read is Killing Patton. What do you mean by "universal leaning Catholic"? As I recall, O'Reilly said that Scripture did not give the history of the death of Jesus.

You are disappointed in the views of a liberal Catholic, (mostly) conservative political commentator. Boo Hoo.

Why not simply turn off Fox News? It's good for your blood pressure.

I am guessing that you agree with O'Reilly that sodomite marriage is okay and that capital punishment should be abolished and that ghetto kids should be taught the Transcendental Meditation religion?

Why don't you just answer the question?

O'Reilly thinks that it is fine to teach poor boys TM, ruled a religion by a US court and considered a form of Hinduism.

I wonder if you think that it would be okay to teach poor boys Christianity to calm them down or if the best way to handle the poor is to turn them over to something demonic?

Kind of waiting for you to post proof that the Russians shot down the Malaysian jet airliner.

My point was not to get worked up over some commentator's viewpoints. Last time I checked O'Reilly's show, many years ago, he was not formulating policy, but was getting paid to be controversial and riling up people. Just don't go there, you'd be better off.

Obviously no, I do not think it is OK, nor do I approve of same-s@x marriage. Asked and answered. Happy now?

Thanks for answering! I hope that it does not raise your blood pressure that we agree on another point! :saint:

I think that O'Reilly should not advocate the religion TM be pushed off on poor boys as a means to "calm them down." That is really patronizing as well as demonic. I would say to poor boys that Jesus died for them.

In a few words, he is a pinhead catholic. He is wishy washy, and unable to understand that God has more sides to Him than just love!

I'm shocked...shocked I tell you that this man, this same man who has, on air, asked adult film stars for copies of their work, this man who has never been a true friend of Christianity, this man who has cussed out his camera crew, this man has embraced a pagan form of spirituality.

    I'm shocked.
